I desire and direct that my body be buried in a decent and christian like manner suitable to my circumstances and condition in life my soul I trust shall return to rest with God who gave it. 2nd. I desire and direct that all my just debts be paid without delay by my executrix wherein after appointed as I am unwilling that my creditors should be delayed in their rights especially as their is no necessity for delay. 3rd. I desire and direct that my property both real and personal be divided equally among my single sisters to wit: Harriet Matilda Ashley and Elizabeth Ashley to have and to hold the same in their own personal right, to divide the same between them either by lot or sale as they may choose. 4. I hereby constitute and appoint my two single sisters to wit: Harriet Matilda Ashley and Elizabeth Ashley Executrix of this my last will and testament and exempt them from making an inventory or appraisement on annual returns to the Court of Ordinary and fully empower them to do any and all acts necessary to carry out this my last will and testament. Upon their having the same duly recorded in the Book of Wills in the Ordinary's office of Heard County, Georgia this Oct 20, 1880. Martha Ashley (x) her mark Wit: John J. Bledsoe L.D. Faver H.S. Johns named as a witness to the within writing purporting to be Martha Ashley's last Will and being duly sworn saith that he with John Bledsoe, L.D. Faver and Cicero McCutchins at the request of Martha Ashley and in her presence did attest as witness the within writing as her Martha Ashley's last Will that she was at the time of said attestation and signing by herself of sound and disposing mind and memory that she executed the within paper voluntarily. Sworn to and subscribed before me this February 16, 1897, Robt. Crain, Ordinary. H.S. Johns, (x) his mark State of Georgia, Heard County I do solemnly swear that this writing contains the true last Will of the within named Martha Ashley, deceased, so far as I know or believe and that I will truly execute in accordance with the laws of this State so help me God.
