Jones State of Georgia County of Heard Last Will and Testament of Alford N. Jones I, Alford N. Jones of said State and County being of sound and disposing mind and memory do make this my Last Will and Testament. Item 1st. I wish my Executors as soon as possible after my death to pay my debts. If a sale of property shall be necessary I wish them to select for sale and sell that portion of my personal property which in their opinion can be most advantageously sold and the proceeds of such sale appropriated to the payment of my debts and I authorize them to sell same at public or private sale as they see fit. Item 2nd. I wish my Executors within a reasonable time and when they deem best, after my death, to sell all my personal property which may not have been sold in accordance with Item first of this Will and I authorize them to sell the same at public or private sale as they see fit. Item 3rd. I wish my executors at my death to take charge of my real estate and rent or lease the same for such term of time as they deem best; said renting or leasing to be publicly or privately as they see fit; and to hold all my real estate intact and during the lifetime of my beloved wife Martha P. Jones. Item 4th. It is my wish and Will that my executors collect all the rent from all my real estate and apply so much thereof as may be necessary together with any proceeds from the sale of my personal property to the care support and maintenance of my beloved wife Martha P. Jones for and during her lifetime. Item 5th. It is my wish and will that as soon as my executors deem proper and within a reasonable time after the death of my beloved wife Martha P. Jones my executors sell all my real estate and I authorize them to sell same at public or private sale and upon such time as they deem proper and to the best interest of the estate. Item 6th. I give five dollars to each of my grandchildren who are children of my daughter Eva Turner now deceased to whom I gave as much as I desired before her death, to wit: Mattie Drummond, Robert Turner, and Roy Turner and desire that said sums to be paid to them by my Executors out of any funds which come into their hands after the death of my beloved wife Martha P. Jones. Item 7th. It is my wish and will and I direct that after the payment of the specific legacies of five dollars each to my grandchildren to wit; Mattie Drummond, Robert Turner and Roy Turner as provided in Item Sixth of this Will, that the remainder of my property and estate to wit; the proceeds arising from the sale of my personal property if there be any, the remainder of the proceeds arising from the sale of my real estate, to be divived among my children to wit: Winston W. Jones, Willis B. Jones, James M. Jones, Alford B. Jones, Jonathon B. Jones, and Lazarus R. Jones share and share alike. Item 8th. It is my wish and Will and I desire that the residue of my property be equally divided among my children to wit: Winston W. Jones, Willis B. Jones, James M. Jones, Alford B. Jones Jonathon Jones and Lazarus R. Jones share and share alike, said division to be made by my Executor after the death of my beloved wife Martha P. Jones. Item 9th. I hereby appoint my son Lazarus R. Jones and Willis B Jones Executors of this my Last Will and Testament and hereby relieve them from making bond as such executors, from making inventory annual or other returns as such to the Court or Ordinary. In testimony whereof I have hereto set my hand this the twenty seventh day of March, year of our Lord 1906. Alford N. Jones Signed and published by Alford N. Jones as his Last Will and Testament in the presence of the undersigned who subscribe our names hereto as witnesses at the instance and request of said testator and in his presence and in the presence of each other, this the 27th day of March 1906.
