Item 1. I desire and direct that my body be buried in a decent and christian like manner suitable to my circumstances and conditions in life. My soul I trust shall return to rest with God who gave it as I hope for eternal salvation through the merits and atourment of the blessed Lord and Savior Jesus Christ whose religion I have professed as I hereby trust enjoyed for years. Item 2. I desire and direct that all my just debts be paid without delay by my executors hereinafter apponted as I am unwilling my creditors should be delayed in their rights. Item 3. I give bequeath and devise to my beloved wife America with whom I have lived in the strictest quiet for years all of my property of all kinds real and personal during her natural life to dispose of as she may think best and at the death of my dear beloved wife America then all the property to be sold and divided equal among my dear children to wit: John G. Stewart, James M. Stewart, Z.T. Stewart, George D. Stewart my dear beloved sons, and Charlotte C. Eichelberger wife of Jacob Eichelberger dead, Mary E. Johnson wife of Jeptha J. Johnson, India Evans wife of William Evans, Lou Crockett wife of Rush O. Crockett, Sarah M. Stewart, my dear beloved daughters. Item 4. I hereby constitute and appoint my sons John G. Stewart and James M. Stewart of the State of Ala executors of this my last Will and Testament this 1882. Signed, sealed, declared and published by John Stewart as his Last Will and Testament in the presence of us the subscribers who subscribed our names hereto in the presence of said testator at his special instance and request and of each other this Feb 16, 1882.
