I75S to Exit 228. East to GA Hwy. 138/42/23, right. Follow to East Atlanta Rd., left. Follow to Belair Drive, right. Cemetery is at intersection of Belair & Flat Rock to the right. It is an inactive cemetery, and is in deplorable shape. There was no readily available history on these families. This will be updated when, and if, information becomes available. (Please see below). According to records Samuel Hanson (12/22/1856, age 65 yrs., 8 mos., 26 days) is buried here. However, no headstone was located. Gossett April 20, 1842 August 30, 1909 Mary Elizabeth Dodson Gossett 1852 December 21, 1910 John J. was married to Mary "Elizabeth" on April 4, 1867 ( Probate Court, Book 1851-1868 pg 284) J.J. Gossett was guardian to William C. and Napolean Dodson. After the death of Joshua Dodson. ( Henry County Probate Court Records) (Henry Co Weekly States on Sept. 3, 1909) John J. Gossett a Stockbridge prominent citizen dies while at work on Monday. He was a member of the town counsel of Stockbridge, a member of the Finance and Sanitary Committee, he was 70 years old. He was a superintendent of the Presbiterian Sunday School. He is survived by 4 sons, John, Jeff, Howard of Atlanta and Newt, 5 daughters, Mrs. T.C. Kelly, Mrs. J.T. Bellah, Mrs AB Bailey and Miss Lois and Carrie all of this county. Funeral held Tuesday at Stockbridge. Internment in the Dodson Cemetery. The friends of Mrs. J.J. Gossett regrett to hear of her death which occurred at the home of her husband near Stockbridge last Tuesday after an extended illness of suffering. Mrs. Gossett a good woman and leaves a number of friends who extend their sympathy to the bereaved ones. The remains were laid to rest in the family burial ground at 11o'clock Wednesday morning. Rev. RL Bell preformed the funeral service in the presents of relatives and friends who gathered to pay their last sad respects.
