Turn left on Bill Gardner Parkway and go about .7 miles. Turn right on GA Hwy. 42 and go about .8 miles. Turn right on the Locust Grove Griffin Road and go about 2.5 miles. Turn right on Lester Mill Road and go about .35 miles. The cemetery is on your right about 600 yards out directly across a pasture (at this time) and into the woods. The cemetery can be located (at this time) because it is on a small knoll on which are growing about a dozen very tall oak tree which can be seen above the surrounding growing canopy. The cemetery is on private property, and it would be wise to seek the owner's permission to visit the cemetery. This is an inactive cemetery and has remained unattended for many years. Indian Creek Baptist Church was organized in 1825. This was a Missionary Baptist Church. At the advent of the railroad in Locust Grove, the church was moved about 1862 and eventually became Locust Grove Baptist Church. The original cemetery has only a few remaining inscribed markers but fieldstones and bricks suggest that there are many unmarked graves. The ground is covered in dwarf periwinkle.
