Introduction:
This cemetery is located in Land Lot 242 of the 3rd District of
Henry County, Locust Grove, Georgia.   I75S to Exit 212.  West on
Bill Gardner Parkway.  Right on Strickland Rd. Cemetery is immediately
on the right surrounded by a brick wall.  At the time this compiler
visited the site, it was not easily visible from the road.  This is
an inactive family cemetery.

Benjamin Franklin Thompson was married to L. Barnie Harper, daughter
of Robert Henry Harper and Sarah Elizabeth Hopkins (Harvey).  L. Barnie
Harper is buried in the King Cemetery, Clayton County, Riverdale, GA.
L. Barnie & B.F. had ten children, two of who are buried in this
cemetery.

This compiler was unable to determine how the Stanfield baby relates to
the Thompson's.

This cemetery was originally part of St. Paul's Methodist Church
(perhaps now Philadelphia Baptist?). Rumor has it that other graves
marked only with fieldstones were around this area, which has now
become the site of a new middle school.
