Jasper County 
	This indenture made the second day of October in the year of our Lord 
one thousand and twenty three between Archibald Bachellor of the county of 
Jones and state aforesaid of the one part and John A. Ellis of the county of 
Oglethorpe and state aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said 
Archibald Bachellor for and in consideration of the sum of Five hundred Dollars 
to him in hand paid before the sealing and delivery of these presence the 
receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained sold and conveyed 
and by these presence doth grant bargained sold and conveyed unto the said John 
A. Ellis his heirs and assigns all that tract or parcel of land situate lying 
and being in the county of Henry known and distinguished by lot no. two hundred 
and six in the second district of said county to have and to hold together with 
all and singular the rites member and appurtenances there unto belonging to his 
and their own proper use benefit and behoof forever in fee simple and the said 
Archibald Batchellor his executors and administrators will warrant and forever 
defend the right and title against the claim of themselves and against the 
claims of any other person or persons whatsoever In witness where of I have 
hereunto set my hand ad affixed my seal the day and year above written
