Witnesseth that the said Thomas Ellis for and in consideration of the sum of Fifty Dollars to him in hand paid at and before the sealing & delivering of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained and sold and doth by these presents grant bargain sell and convey unto the said James Beasley his heirs and assigns a parcel of land situate laying and being in the third district of the said county of Henry and said State, known in the plan of said district by the number (92) ninety two, commencing at the North East corner of said lot thence running West along the original line to a spring branch thence down said spring branch to the creek thence up said creek to the original line thence North along the original line to the original N.E. Corner containing Ten acres be the same more or less with all rights members and appurtenances thereunto belonging. To have and to hold the aforesaid described piece of land unto him the said James Beasley his heirs & assigns together with all the rights members & appurtenances to the said piece of land in any wise belonging to his and their own proper use benefit & behoof forever in fee simple- and the said Thos. Ellis for himself his heirs Executors & administrators the said bargained premises together with the rite title and possession thereof unto the said James Beasley his heirs and assigns will warrant & forever defend the rite and title thereof against themselves and against the claims of all other persons whatsoever. In testimony whereof the said Thomas Ellis hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day and year first above written . Signed sealed and delivered in presence of. John L.
