W. Moore. ~Miss Claude McDonald is visiting relatives in Atlanta. ~Mr. and Mrs. L. R. Carmichael spent Monday in Atlanta. ~Mrs. S. R. Brown of Luella visited in the city Sunday. ~Mrs. and Mrs. Bailor Smith spent Monday in Atlanta. ~Mr. John Turner of Gainesville was in the city last Sunday. ~Messrs. Toy Turner and Cliff Tye of Atlanta were in the city last Sunday. ~Mr. and Mrs. C. A. McKibben spent Sunday in Jackson visiting relatives. ~Mr. Q. A. Dickson presented us a huge stalk of ribbon cane yesterday, containing nineteen joints. ~Dr. Ed Tigner came up from Jackson Wednesday to be in his dental office here the remainder of the month. ~Mr. Robert L. Morris of Midville was in McDonough last Sunday, and was seen wending down Paradise Alley. ~Miss Irene and Ethel Price have returned to their homes near Flippen after a visit of several days to Miss Trellis Carmichael. ~The ladies of the Parsonage Aid Society will meet Monday afternoon at Miss Florence Harper’s, and every member requested to be present, 3 o’clock, the hour. ~Mr. L. N. Chaille of Forsyth, has been in the city several days. A pair of bright eyes the magnet. ~Mr. H. C. Bridges returned Monday afternoon from a two weeks visit in Cobb County, where he was on both business and pleasure. ~Rev. J. A. Thurman has been troubled very much recently with a boil on the side of his neck, which has caused him no little inconvenience. ~Mrs. M. J. McMullen, a sister of Mayor Dickson, left yesterday for her home in Rushton, La., after a visit of two weeks to relatives in this vicinity. ~J. T. Bryant is erecting some new store rooms at McDonough, for a syndicate headed by Alex Lemon, one of the cleverest men living. Jackson Times. ~Dr. Chas. McDonald says all he prided himself on was his good looks, and now they are laid up for repairs. He has been monk eying with “pizen” oak. ~Miss Janie Duke now has charge of a large school in Henry County, near McDonough. We predict for her much success as a teacher. Jackson Times ~Col. Ed Stephens and Mr. Paul Turner went up to Atlanta Tuesday, and mingled with the crowds at the democratic executive committee meeting. ~Mr. Jason Crossley, a former popular citizen at McDonough, but now of Shady Dale, was in the city Wednesday shaking hands with his numerous friends. ~Col. A. A. Rose, the hustling editor of the Jackson Argus, was in the city Monday night, the guest of Col. Ed Stephens. He found McDonough still growing.
