C. Nolan spent last Saturday in Atlanta. ~Miss Ethel Mai Tye is visiting relatives in Atlanta. ~Dr. C. L. Tucker took in the Gate City last Tuesday. ~Mrs. Florence Harper is visiting relatives in Macon. ~Mrs. A. A. Lemon, Sr., went up to Atlanta Tuesday. ~Mr. Jim Fields went to Atlanta last Tuesday on business. ~Mr. and Mrs. T. A. Sloan spent Monday in Atlanta. ~Mr. W. W. George made a business trip to Atlanta Monday. ~Bob Rivers took in the circus last Wednesday to Atlanta. ~Miss Claude McDonald visited relatives in Atlanta this week. ~Miss Flora Turner has been visiting relatives in Atlanta this week. ~Misses Tippie and Ella Harrell visited Palmetto last Saturday and Sunday. ~Mr. J. B. Lowe spent a couple of days in Manchester and Atlanta this week. ~Mrs. Joel Bankston and children are visiting relatives in Barnesville this week. ~Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Newman spent Sunday in Jonesboro with the latter’s parents. ~Uncle Billy Miller spent Tuesday and Wednesday in Atlanta to see the circus parade. ~One car load each Nos. 1 and 2 shingles just received by B. B. Carmichael & Sons. ~Rev. J. F. and Mrs. Pharr are attending the Synod which convenes this week in Athens. ~Mr. and Mrs. John Gray and daughter, Miss Addie spent Tuesday in Atlanta shopping. ~Messrs. Walter Huling and Will Pair ran down from Flippen a short while Monday morning. ~Lost plain folding key to Presbyterian Church. Finder will please return to B. B. Carmichael. ~Mr. H. J. Copeland, one of McDonough’s merchant princes, went up to Atlanta last Monday on business. ~Mrs. R. T. West and Miss Addie Pharr of Atlanta, were the guests of Mrs. J. F. Pharr, Saturday and Sunday. ~Mr. Claud Morris has moved his family to Griffin, where he has accepted a place with his brother and will reside in future. ~The ladies of the Presbyterian Church will give an oyster supper at Mrs. W. C. Sloan’s tonight, for the benefit of the parsonage fund. ~Adiel Scott, who is attending the technological school in Atlanta, spent last Saturday and Sunday at home with his parents. ~Mr. Ed Knott came up this week, and with his friend Mr. Alex Lemon, went to Atlanta for a day or two, to mingle with the political hosts. ~The Board of Education of Henry County will meet in McDonough pursuant to a call of the chairman on Saturday, November 21st.
