J. Reagan. ~Mrs. Ward, of Cave Spring, spent last week with Mr. and Mrs. Guy Atkinson. ~Rev. Guy Atkinson filled his regular appointment at Stockbridge Sunday. ~Miss Louise Brown, who has been teaching at Elberton is home for the summer vacation. ~Miss Ellene Neal was a weekend visitor to her mother, Mrs. Clyde Neal. ~We are sorry to learn of the illness of Mrs. E. J. Reagan, trust she may soon recover. ~Rev. L. D. King spent one day attending the General Assembly in Atlanta last week. ~Mr. and Mrs. R. O. Jackson had as their guest Sunday, Mr. Thomason of Monticello. ~Miss Mary Jo Smith, of Atlanta, was the weekend guest of her parents. ~Mr. Willis Copeland, of Jackson, was a weekend visitor to his father’s family. ~Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Hooten and family motored to Atlanta Sunday to visit relatives. ~Mrs. E. J. Reagan and Mrs. E. L. Reagan visited the Gate City Friday. ~Dr. and Mrs. J. G. Smith leave this week for New York to meet Miss Talitha Smith. ~Miss Sarah Brown went over to Elberton to attend the commencement this week. ~Judge Andrew Brown, of Atlanta, was the guest of relatives during the past weekend. ~Mr. Edward Copeland, of Tech, will arrive this weekend for the summer holidays. ~Mr. Denver Atkinson, of Hartwell, is visiting his brother, Rev. Guy Atkinson. ~Little Miss Mary Turner is visiting Miss Frances Ammons this week. ~Mr. and Mrs. O. R. Nolan and family, of Macon, visited Mrs. A. M. Nolan, Sunday. ~Miss LaTrelle Robertson, of Atlanta, is expected soon to visit her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Hutton. ~Mr. W. R. King returned to Ellenwood, Sunday after spending the past six weeks with Rev. and Mrs. L. D. King. ~Mr. and Mrs. T. A. Sloan are spending some time in Fla., leaving Sunday with Mr. Carl Sloan. ~Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Jinks spent last Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Bryant Rosser, near Locust Grove. ~Mr. George Alexander motored to Marietta Monday evening to assist Mr. J. F. M. Fields in his calamitous wreck. ~Mr. John Powell, of Tech, was a weekend visitor to his parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. O. Powell. ~Prof. R. O. Powell leaves shortly for Carrollton where he will teach the summer term in the 4th District A & M. ~Mrs. E. M. Smith accompanied by Messrs. Ernest Smith, Julian Weems and Wilmer Turner, motored to Athens Sunday. ~We are glad to learn of the improvement in Mr. J. B. Dickson’s condition. Trust he may soon be out again. ~Mrs. Fred Kelley and little son Fred Jr., were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Kelley last week. ~Mrs. Kate Brown motored to LaGrange Saturday to attend the Alumnae meeting at LaGrange College. ~Mrs. Grady Moseley, Mrs. McFarlin, Misses Minnie Belle Mann and Louise Lee, of Stockbridge were in the city Thursday. ~Mr. and Mrs. Hard Elliott, Mr. Clarence Elliott, MR. Jonce Elliott and Master Russell Elliott of Macon, motored to Atlanta Sunday to visit relatives. ~Mr. and Mrs. Otis Ball and Mrs. Parmelia Hardin motored from Jackson Sunday afternoon to visit Mrs. H. J. Copeland. ~Mr. Julian Weems, Mr. Ernest Smith and Wilmer Turner, who attended the Ga. Tech ball game in Atlanta, spent the weekend at home. ~Miss Bertha Turner, who has been teaching at Gainesville, is home for the holidays. ~Mrs. Lee Smith and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Thompson of Atlanta, attended the funeral of Mr. W. W. George Sunday. ~Mr. and Mrs. Harry Walton and Mrs. Emma Albright, of Atlanta visited relatives here Sunday. ~Prof. and Mrs. R. O. Powell leave this week for Atlanta where they will make their home for the summer. ~Mrs. S. L. West and children left Sunday for Albany where they will visit relatives. Later they will visit Columbus. ~Miss Kate Reagan leaves next week to chaperone a party to Washington State. Misses Susan and Mary Elliott from here will be included in the party. ~Col. E. L. Reagan, Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Turner and Mr. Joe Tarpley, attended the debate at Locust Grove Tuesday. ~Mr. and Mrs. Wade Turner and family of Atlanta, are expected to spend next weekend with Mr. and Mrs. John Turner. ~Col. and Mrs. E. L. Reagan, and Col. Frank Willingham, of Forsyth, will motor to Savannah this week to attend the meeting of the Georgia Bar Association. ~Mr. and Mrs. H. W. King and family of Ellenwood, and Mrs. J. M. Cook from Wrightsville, spent Sunday with Rev. and Mrs. L. D. King. ~Mr. and Mrs. George Elliott and family and Mrs. Adiel Rosser motored to Griffin Monday afternoon. ~Messrs. E. M. Copeland, George Alexander, H. H. Forbes and Asa Elliott motored to Stockbridge Sunday afternoon to participate in an ordination service. ~Misses Stella and Kate Russell are spending this week with Mrs. Rowena Benning in Atlanta.
