F. Mitchell, Mr. and Mrs. O. B. Turpin, Mrs. Roy Sims and children spent last Monday with Mrs. J. H. Turpin. ~Mrs. J. M. Barton, Mr. and Mrs. F. E. Mitchell attended the singing at Stockbridge Sunday. ~Mr. Lowry Johnson was called to the bedside of his brother, A. L. Johnson of Ashburn, Ga. Mr. Johnson is in dying condition in a local hospital at Macon where he was run down by a big oil truck last Friday p. m. He suffered a fractured skull and injured back. ~Mr. and Mrs. Tom Powell of Atlanta made a short visit to Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Barton last Sunday morning. ~Mr. Millard Tommie is visiting relatives in Atlanta this week. ~Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Sanford of Atlanta stopped over a short while with Mrs. Lowry Johnson Sunday p. m. enroute back home from Macon where Mrs. Sanford’s father was killed. ~Mr. Lucious Benefield, wife and baby, Miss Mary Lynn Johnson visited Mr. and Mrs. Lowry Johnson a short while Sunday p. m. They had just returned from a visit to Roanoke, Ala. ~The many friends of Mr. Lowry Johnson deeply sympathize with him in the loss of his only brother, who was run down by an oil truck in Macon Friday p. m. Mr. Johnson moved from Cobb County thirteen years ago to Ashburn Ga., since that time had been a resident of Ashburn. Funeral was at Noah’s Ark Tuesday a. m. 11 o’clock.
