C. Blasingame at Miss Annie Reese’s Concert Monday night will be a rare treat to lovers of good music. ~Messrs. A. C. and T. J. Sowell moved into their elegant new quarters Monday and are now all straightened out for business with a large and handsome stock. ~Miss Della Wood, who has been spending two weeks in McDonough with Miss Carrie Upchurch, returned to her home in Atlanta last Tuesday, accompanied by Miss Otelia Upchurch. ~Miss Claude McDonald, a charming young lady of McDonough, arrived in the city last Monday night and will spend a few days with Miss Lula McDonald, on Poplar Street. Griffin Call. ~A young man from Riverdale, Clayton County, was in McDonough Wednesday prospecting, and pronounced it the busiest place he has seen in a long time. Come in, everybody, and watch McDonough grow. ~Neighbor Jim Wall went hunting Monday and Tuesday morning the editors hungry family enjoyed a fine breakfast of rabbit, etc. Neighbor, may your aim always be steady, and your shadow never grow less. ~Dr. Ed Tignor came up from Jackson yesterday, a few days ahead of his regular engagement, and will leave next Thursday to spend Christmas at home. Those desiring dental work are requested to call on him at once. ~Miss Pauline Turner, of McDonough is visiting Miss Mary Nutt in Jackson this week. Miss Turner has numerous friends in Jackson who gladly welcome her visits and it is hoped her stay among us will be a most lengthy one.
