Her citizens comprise some of the best and most substantial, her business men are among the best, she is all the time improving, and all go to make up a most desirable locality. A large oil mill which is in regular operation every season, shows the progressive spirit of her business men, and they have made a most creditable record. The location of the large school of the Flint River Baptist Association there recently, is also a valuable addition to Locust Grove. Several of the Grove's live merchants have advertisements in this extra edition of THE WEEKLY. HAMPTON Has long been known for the best and cleverest people to be found anywhere, and they always sustain their reputation for pleasant and cordial hospitality. Hampton has some elegant homes, and in point of cheapness and other attractions is a desirable place to live. There are some splendid merchants in the town, though none of them are represented in THE WEEKLY'S advertising columns for this issue. Some of the largest and best stocks to be found in any country town are carried by them, and the trade is well supplied. THE WEEKLY was founded in Hampton, and we shall always have a kindly feeling and good word for the "dear old place." LUELLA One of the most hustling and prosperous little towns anywhere just now is Luella. For the past two years it has made rapid strides, and has attracted not only attention, but trade, from every direction. S. R. Brown & Sons are the live merchants of the place, and their stock, embracing almost everything to be called for, would be a credit to any large place. And to show how their enterprise is appreciated, they are receiving a splendid trade. They have the most complete ginnery in Middle Georgia, with a big brick warehouse, and are handling a large amount of cotton market all around this season. A number of new residences have been put up and in course of construction at Luella, also a nice Baptist church is being built, and its marked improvement attracts general attention. GREENWOOD Is one of the substancial communities that must by no means be over looked. Clever Dooly Nelson is proprietor of the town, and with a stock ample and well selected enjoys a remunerative trade. A good ginnery also accommodates the people, and a good lot fo cotton is handled. Some of the best people anywhere live around Greenwood. FLIPPEN Now has four stores and is quite an important business point. No better or more substantial citizens are to be found anywhere, and they are consequently prosperous. Here an industry has sprung up in the fruit business, which holds out a promising future. From this point considerable shipments are made each season, giving employment to a considerable little number, and proving profitable to the shippers. This is a departure capable of opening up an avenue of benefit to this entire section, and it is to be hoped will ere long result favorably to that end. STOCKBRIDGE Is one of Henry county's "old stand-by's." Several business establishments proceed in the even tenor of their way and the average church and school privileges, with easy access to Atlanta, make a desirable place to live. It is composed of some of the most solid and substantial of citizens. COUNTRY STORES Last, but by no means least, are Henry county's country stores. The scores of drummers who make trips of regular rounds to them attest the fact that they are among the best to be found anywhere, and they supply the people of every community with many of the articles of every day use, upon favorable terms, besides the convenience of being near by. In fine, old Henry county with her good, solid lands, excellent climate, healthy location and general conveniences, is one of the garden spots of the country.
