H. Morris was the guest of Mrs. Walter McCullough Saturday night and Sunday. ~Miss Clara Floyd was the guest of Misses Eddie and Ruby Berry Saturday afternoon. ~Miss Mamie Jim, Lilly Mae and Willie Kate Foster were the guests of Misses Ethel and Erma Hood Saturday afternoon. ~Mr. and Mrs. Gene Conkle were the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Floyd Sunday. ~The ice cream supper given by Miss Eddie Berry Saturday night was highly enjoyed by a large crowd. ~Mr. and Mrs. Wiley Walden and Mr. Tom Exum were the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Arm Exum Sunday. ~Mrs. G. W. Pritchett was the guest of Mrs. Henry Exum Saturday afternoon. ~Mr. Arnold Floyd tied at the same post Sunday afternoon. ~Messrs. George Adamson and Walter McCullough were in Atlanta Friday. ~Miss Mary Cargle has returned home after a pleasant visit in Hampton. ~Misses Mamie Jim Foster and Mary Cargle were the guest of Misses Lily May and Willie Kate Foster Sunday. ~Mr. and Mrs. Albert Gibbs were the guest fo Mr. and Mrs. Bud Hood one day last week. ~Mrs. J W. Foster was the guest of Mrs. John Oaks one afternoon last week. ~Rev. P. I. England will preach at this place Sunday afternoon and night. BROWN EYES -- Social Circle ~Rev. Sam Haynes preached at Bethel Sunday. ~Mr. and Mrs. Larence Gunter and children and Misses Clara Bess Moseley and Mary Bonner was the dinner guest Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Howell. ~Mrs. Lee Cook and children, of Conyers, spent the week end with Mr. and Mrs. T. W. Peterman and family. ~Miss Mary Ammons, of McDonough is spending a while with Miss Pearl Smith. ~Miss Birdie Callaham spent one day last week with Misses Eunice and Lena Helm. ~Mr. and Mrs. Ed Stewart and daughters, of McDonough were the dinner guest Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. C. C. White and family. ~Miss Mamie Morris and Roe Callaway were the guest Sunday afternoon of Miss Pearl South. ~Mrs. Newt Aspen and children, of Macon, is spending a while with Mr. and Mrs. B. W. Walden. ~Mr. and Mrs. Homer Moore, of Atlanta, were the guest Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Callaway and family. “SMILES” -- Greenwood ~Rev. Adams filled his appointment here Sunday to an appreciative audience. ~Rev. T. B. Hincy preached at Oakland Sunday morning. Mrs. Hincy and Mr. Harrison, of Luella, accompanied him and were dinner guest of Mr. and Mrs. Earnie Barnett. ~Mr. and Mrs. Allen Rape were the guest of Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Rowan Sunday. ~Mrs. Charles Foster and children were visitors here Sunday afternoon. ~Miss Ethel Roan spent Sunday at home returning to Brooks Monday a. m. for the meeting. ~Mrs. Joe Pendley spent several days in Atlanta with her sisters family last week. ~Mr. Tom Rowan and family of Atlanta, visited relatives here last week. ~Mr. Raymond Rape was appointed truck driver. ~Mrs. W. C. Tilghman returned to her home in Albany Saturday, after an extended visit to her sister, Mrs. J. O. Middleton. Little Robert Middleton went with her for a visit. ~Mr. and Mrs. Tyre Rowan were visitors here last week. ~Mr. Eli Rape and family spent Wednesday with his mother. ~Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Durant, of Midville were recent visitors here. ~Rev. T. B. Hincy returned from Alabama last week after conducting a series of meetings there. ~Messrs. Milliard and Raymond Roan spent the weekend with homefolks. ~Miss Ethel Roan accompanied her brother, Raymond to Brooks for the week and will be pianist during the meeting there. ~Mrs. Claude Jenkins, of Griffin, spent Saturday in Greenwood. ~Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Rowan visited relatives at Stockbridge Sunday. ~Mr. Harvie Woodward has purchased the goods in the store here and his friends will find him there at his post of duty. He’ll be glad for you to give him a call. ~Mr. and Mrs. Allen Rape, entertained the young people Saturday night. ~Mr. and Mrs. Willis Dingler spent Sunday with relatives here. Mrs. Allen Rape returned home with the for a few days. ~Misses Polly and Esther Woodward spent a few days with Mrs. Sam Dailey at the campground. ~Messrs. R. R. Roan and H. M. Skinner spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Skinner. ~Mrs. Laura Rosser and Mrs. G. F. Bunn spent Thursday with Mrs. I. P. Rosser. ~Mrs. Frank Davis, and Mrs. Emmett Rosser, of Locust Grove, spent Friday p. m. with Miss Mattie Rape. Miss Annice Boatner spent a few days last week with her aunt, Mrs. Cora Harris, of Jenkinsburg. ~Mrs. I. P. Rosser and daughter, Margaree also Mrs. A. A. Rape spent Wednesday p. m. with Mrs. Laura Rosser. ~Mr. and Mrs. Emmett Laney were the spend the day guest Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. L. A. Boatner. ~Miss Bessie Rosser spent a few days last week with Mrs. T. L. Leguinn. ~Mr. Odelle Rape spent a few days last week in Atlanta with relatives. ~Mrs. J. M. Skinner, Mrs. W. H. Gunn and Miss Dale Sandifer spent Wednesday with Mrs. T. L. Lavonia Durdin, of Atlanta, also Mrs. Annie McMichael, of Monticello spent the week-end with their sister, Mrs. Ellen Jinks. ~Mr. and Mrs. Julian Cardell and family spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. J.
