A. Daniel has a new dwelling. Bart Hays has one also. (Lookout Girls) ~Ben Bowden has moved down near Lilah. ~Mr. Alexander Thompson of Douglas is visiting relatives near here. ~Fincher’s saw mill is now located on Mr. I. L. Sowell’s plantation, and will remain there a short while. ~A wedding is on the deck for next Sunday near here. ~Guess we had better hush for this time, but they say it’s a fact that there is going to be a whole “gang” of weddings to take place before long, but then we don’t know how true it is. PLOW BOY FLIPPEN ~Mr. Hollingsworth of Fayetteville paid Flippen a visit last Sunday. ~Mrs. John Price left Friday for an extended visit to relatives in Eufaula, and her parents in Alabama. ~On the evening of the 17th the school will give an entertainment, and owing to the popularity of our teacher, Miss Pound, we predict a large audience. ~Mr. J. S. Garner of Spring Vale, spent last night in Flippen with his friend, Mr. Clarence Harris. ~Mr. John Rountree of McDonough spent Saturday and Sunday here. ~Miss Pound went to Atlanta Saturday, where she takes vocal and elocution instructions. ~We are pleased to see the popular face of Mr. Chas. McCurry in our village on Saturday last. Mr. McCurry is a promising young merchant of Fairburn; and we always welcome him. ~We extend Brother Thurman our regrets for his removal, and our thanks for his faithful, zealous and efficient work among us. ~Miss Lula Belle Dupree of Luella attend the McLucas/Price wedding. ~Miss Anna Brewster of Sunny Side is attending school at Flippen. ~Lost!! Somewhere between Tunis and Salem Church, a heart. Finder will please return to Mr. Bill Pair and receive reward. ~Miss Annie Harris went to McDonough Friday and stayed over to the spelling bee. ~Our school is flourishing under the management of Miss Pound. More than fifty pupils already enrolled.
