~Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Smith, Mrs. J. A. Presson and Mr. J. C. McDonald attended 
the funeral of Mr. G. Q. Livingston at Bethany Church, (Newton County) last 
Wednesday night.

~Mr. Carlton Hays of near Jackson spent Thursday night and Friday with his 
mother, Mrs. Sallie Hays.

~Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Adair spent Sunday afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Doane 
and Mr. and Mrs. R. M. Fincher, in Covington.

~Miss Mildred Lunsford spent the weekend with Miss Marie Mitchell.

~Mesdames J. F. Adair, J. C. McDonald, W. H. Smith and B. O. McDonald spent 
Monday with friends and relatives in Newton County.

~Mrs. Sam Wilkerson and son Mr. Jake and little daughter Janet spent Friday 
with Mr. and Mrs. Tom Cawthon.

~Rev. and Mrs. Huckaby spent Saturday night with Mrs. T. J. Stewart.

~Mr. J. D. Hays and mother, Mrs. Sallie Hays spent Sunday afternoon with Mr. 
and Mrs. Willie Hays.

~Mrs. J. C. McDonald spent Tuesday afternoon with Mrs. T. J. Stewart.

~Mr. J. A. Presson and MR. W. H. Smith motored to Atlanta Saturday.

~Miss Larue Lummus spent Friday afternoon with Mrs. J. F. Adair.

~Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Wallace and son Thomas, of Almon were guests of Mr. and 
Mrs. J. A. Presson.

Rocky Branch

~Mrs. W. C. Barham and Mrs. L. A. McGarity spent Tuesday with Mrs. H. S. 
McGarity.

~Mrs. Mattie Crowell spent a few days last week with her daughter, Mrs. L. H. 
Upchurch.

~Miss Alberta Wilson who is teaching school at Ola spent the weekend with her 
parents.

~Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Craig spent Friday in Newton County as the guest of her 
mother.

~Mrs. J. W. Brisendine had as her guest Wednesday afternoon, Mr. and Mrs. C. P. 
Brisendine and Mrs. Oscar Brisendine.

~Mrs. Haywood King and little daughter, Hazel and Katherine spent a few days 
last week with her mother, Mrs. H. S. McGarity.

~Miss Cleo Patterson has returned home after spending last week in Atlanta with 
relatives.

~Mrs. H. T. Jones spent Saturday afternoon with Mrs. Hugh Craig.

~Misses Sara McGarity, Ruby and Anniruth Upchurch attended B. Y. P. U. at 
Bethany Sunday night.

~Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Upchurch had as their guest the past weekend Mr. and Mrs. 
H. A. Wilder, and children of Ola.

~Miss Leone Hooten spent Friday afternoon with Misses Ruby and Anniruth 
Upchurch.

~Mr. H. S. McGarity spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. L. A. McGarity.

~Mr. John Sherwood was the guest of his mother, Mrs. Sara Sherwood a while 
Thursday afternoon.

~Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Brisendine had as their guest Sunday afternoon Mr. and Mrs. 
C. P. Brisendine, Mr. Charles Brisendine and Mr. and Mrs. Luther Cowan and 
little son, of Atlanta.

~Misses Sara and Eufaula McGarity spent Friday afternoon with Mrs. W. C. Barham.
