The Henry County Weekly June 29, 1928
~Mrs. Frank Davis and Mrs. Emmitt Rosser were the guests of Mrs. Missie Rape 
and Mrs. Zelma Rape Saturday.

~Mr. Levi Daniel returned home Saturday from the Piedmont Hospital, hope he 
will soon recover.

~Mr. and Mrs. Bob Boatner and little Nellie Belle were the set ‘til bedtime 
guests of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. H. Owens Friday night.

~The people around Daniels sympathize with Mrs. Howard James in the death of 
her brother Mr. Ed Bunn, which occurred last Friday.

~Mrs. Howare Foster remains on the sick list this week, we hope and trust that 
she may soon recover.

~Mr. and Mrs. Travis LeGuinn and daughter Dorothy visited Mr. Levi Daniel at 
the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Wilson Sunday.

~Mrs. W. H. H. Owens and daughters were the guest of Mrs. Howard James 
Wednesday p. m.

~Mrs. Frank Davis, Mrs. Emmitt Rosser, Mrs. Missie Rape, Mrs. Zelma Rape and 
daughter Joe Ann and Mrs. W. H. H. Owens and daughter Willie Ruth were the 
guests of Miss Missie Rape Saturday p.m.
 
~Misses Geneva Kelly and Nannie Delle Sandifer were the guest of Miss Pebble 
Berry Saturday p. m.

~Mr. J. E. B. Rawls returned to his home near Griffin Sunday after a visit to 
his daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. H. Owens.
 
~Mr. and Mrs. Ernest McDonald and daughter Mary Alice were the guest Sunday of 
Mrs. Missie Rape and family Sunday.

~Miss Martha Owens, Mr. Oscar Snow, Misses Cora and Geneva Kelley were the 
set ‘til bedtime guests of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. H. Owens and family Sunday night.

~Mrs. W. H. H. Owens was the guest of Mr. Howard James Sunday a. m.

~Master Hugh James is on the sick list this week, hope he may soon be well.

~Mrs. Emma McKee and children spent last week with her father, MR. J. F. 
Mitchell.

~Mr. Carlton Helms visited home folks Sunday.

~Mr. and Mrs. F. E. Mitchell and Mr. J. M. Barton attended the singing at the 
Rock Sunday.

~Mrs. Julia Turpin has returned home after a two months visit in Fla.

~Mrs. Allen Turpin and children are here from Fla., visiting her parents, Mr. 
and Mrs. Fred Hefner.

~Mr. and Mrs. Oris Shaw of Atlanta were in our midst Sunday.

~Mr. and Mrs. Lucious Benefield, Mr. and Mrs. Rufus Benefield and children were 
in our community last Sunday riding around.

~Misses Emmie, Margie and Francis Stanley attended the Baptizing Sunday p. m.

~Mr. and Mrs. Bob Sockwell and children were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Charles 
Turpin Sunday.

~Mrs. Annie Thurman of Atlanta spent last Sunday with Homefolks.

~Little Albert Powell of Atlanta in now staying with Mrs. J. M. Baron.

~Miss Carrie Mae Turpin who holds a position in Atlanta spent the weekend with 
homefolks.

~Mr. and Mrs. Pasley attended church at Mt. Vernon Sunday night. Glad to have 
them with us, come again.

~Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Austin and children and Mrs. Julia Turpin visited Mr. and 
Mrs. Frank Richardson Sunday.

~Mr. Jesse Johnson and Miss Gertrude White were at Mt. Vernon Sunday night.
