She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 ears, Harvey Hugh Foster Sr. She was retired from the Georgia State Library Systems. She is survived by her son, Hugh and Barbara Foster of Decatur; grandson, Steven and Julianne Foster of Burwell; granddaughters, Crystal and Terry Evans of Norcross, Susan and Jimmie Burns of Vidalia; great-grandchildren, Lauren and Hannah Evans, Sara, Jennifer, Amanda and Christopher Foster, and Rebecca and Kathleen Burns; and several nieces and nephews. Carmel Christian School and a member of Philippi Baptist Church. In his youth he played basketball, baseball and football, and in recent years still liked watching sports. But his real passion was his family, for whom he had infinite patience and always a good ear for listening.
