WEST, STEVE
Mr. Steve West, 45, of Locust Grove, Ga. died Thursday, Sept. 2, 2004, at Atlanta Medical Center. He was 
born Nov. 4, 1958, in Fulton County, son of Billy and Pat West of Locust Grove. He is also survived by 
his wife, Heidi Eddy West of Locust Grove; sisters, Melissa West Hobbs of Forsyth and Tammy West 
Bryant of Lovejoy; nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Steve will be Sunday, Sept. 5 at 2 p.m. in 
the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. Interment will be at Paran Baptist Church Cemetery in Forsyth, Ga.

RIDGEWAY, SARA C. AUSTIN
Sara C. Austin Ridgeway, 83, of McDonough, a lifelong resident of Henry County, died Sept. 3, 2004. 
She was born in McDonough on Oct. 24, 1920, to the late Ruth Craig and Jim David Austin and was a 
member of Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Ridgeway; 
daughter, Beverly Jean Ridgeway; and her brother, James Arthur Austin. She is survived by her sister-in-law, 
Ann P. Austin; niece and nephew, Barbara Ann and Charles Davis; great nieces; great nephew; great-great 
nieces and cousins. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 6, 2004, at Cannon Cleveland Funeral 
Directors with Dr. Mark Outlaw officiating. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens.

STARR, HATTIE LEE
Hattie Lee Starr of Stockbridge died Saturday, Sept. 4, 2004, at her residence.  Funeral services took place at 
11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 7 in the funeral home chapel. Interment followed at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.
Survivors include her granddaughters, Tracy and Mike Cook, Michelle Starr, Lisa and Joey Rowe, and 
Leslie and Scott Spratlin; sisters, Rowena McDonald and Molly Gordon; daughter-in-law, Janet Starr; 
eight great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

LEATHERWOOD, MARVIN H.
Mr. Marvin H. Leatherwood of McDonough, Ga., died at his residence Sept. 5, 2004. He was a veteran of 
the U.S. Army. A chapel service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2004. Interment will be at 
Sherwood Memorial Park. The Rev. David Steele and David Riner will officiate. Survivors include wife, 
Opal Leatherwood; daughters, Debby Wesley, Merry and Dennis Malone; sons, Bobby and Jo Leatherwood, 
Terry and Cathy Leatherwood; sisters, Louise Butler, Estelle Duke, Nola Hallmark; brothers, J.W. Leatherwood, 
Orville Leatherwood, Travis Leatherwood, Joe Leatherwood and Olen Leatherwood; 15 grandchildren; 
and 11 great-grandchildren.

JONES, MIRIAM ROBERTS
Mrs. Miriam Roberts Jones, 57, of McDonough, Ga. died Monday, Sept. 6, 2004.  Mrs. Jones was born 
June 13, 1947, in Toccoa, Ga. She was a devoted homemaker, loving mother and grandmother. Mrs. Jones 
was a member of First Baptist Church of Jonesboro and enjoyed all of her church activities. Her father, 
Edward Lee Roberts, preceded her in death.  Funeral services for Mrs. Jones will be Thursday, Sept. 9 
at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Jonesboro with Dr. Dean Haun officiating. Interment will be at 
Haisten/Eastlawn Memorial Park in McDonough. Survivors are children, Shane and Angela Hallford 
of McDonough and Christopher Longino of Hampton; mother, Eleanor Waits of Hartwell, Ga.; sister, 
Anita Tate of Riverdale; brother, Edward Roberts of Seneca, S.C.; granddaughters, Shalane, Savannah 
and Alyssa Hallford of McDonough; several nieces and nephews.

BANKS, PENNY ANN PETERSON
Mrs. Penny Ann Peterson Banks, 46, of McDonough, Ga., died Sept. 6, 2004, at her residence. She was 
born March 20, 1958, in New Haven, Conn., the daughter of Yone Tusda and Buel Peterson of Augusta, 
Ga.; other survivors are her husband, Ricky Steve Banks of McDonough; children, Christine Banks and 
Zachary Banks of McDonough, and Melissa Banks of Lovejoy; grandson, Taylor Banks of McDonough; 
brothers, Charles Peterson, Frank Peterson and Troy Peterson of Augusta; and sister, Cathy Anthon 
of Augusta. No services are planned at this time.

September 7, 2004
Mrs. Mable Juanita Reed, 72, of Jonesboro, Ga., passed away Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2004, at the Henry 
Medical Center.  Mrs. Reed was born in Abingdon, Va. Feb. 22, 1932, to the late Claude Ray Wilson 
and the late Vivian Beatrice McCuddy Wilson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Lee 
Reed; and her grandson, Jason Gaylor. Mrs. Reed was a member of the Victory Tabernacle in Conyers.
Funeral services for Mrs. Mabel J. Reed will be conducted on Thursday, Sept. 9 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel 
of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. The Rev. Gene Walton will officiate. Interment will be at 2p.m. 
in the Marietta National Cemetery. Mrs. Reed is survived by her children and their spouses, Bobby R. 
and Brenda Hall of McDonough, Nola and James Bell of Jonesboro, and Robin K. Lipscomb of Williamson; 
grandchildren, Julie and Danny Soriano of Jonesboro, Angie and Tony Yancey of Covington, Terry Lee 
and Maggie Bryan of McDonough, Chasity Clayton and Jason Nix of Williamson, Lindsey S. Hall of 
McDonough, and Jessica Rae Hall of McDonough; eight great-grandchildren.

WILLIAMS, DANIEL L.
Daniel L. Williams of Forest Park, Ga., died Sept. 8, 2004, at Piedmont Hospital.  He was retired from Ford 
Motor Co. He was 80.  Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 10, 2004, in the chapel. The Rev. Elvis 
Hester will officiate. Interment will be at Forest Hills Cemetery. Visitation was from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
He was preceded in death by daughter Hazel Bickers. Survivors include wife, Ruby Lee Williams of Forest 
Park, Ga.; daughters, Levon and Royce Bridges of Thompson, Ga., Gail and Jeff Sims of Hampton, Ga., 
Brenda and Ed Vaughan of Fayetteville, Ga., Patsy and Billie Vaughan of Fayetteville, Ga., and Pam and 
Will Atkinson of Stockbridge; sister, Bernice and James Still of Forest Park, Ga.; son-in-law, Waymon 
Bickers of Newnan, Ga.; four granddaughters; nine grandsons; and three great-granddaughters.

TALLMAN, STANLEY WARREN
Mr. Stanley Warren Tallman, 47, of McDonough, Ga. passed away Monday, Sept. 13, 2004, at Henry 
Medical Center.  He was born Aug. 20, 1957, in Fulton County, son of Delvis Corelle Elliott and Ronald 
Barnett Tallman. He attended Horizon Pointe Church, enjoyed the outdoors, deer hunting, and was a 
devoted family man. A brother, Ronald B. Tallman Jr., preceded him in death. A memorial service for 
Mr. Tallman will begin at 3 p.m. today, Wednesday, Sept. 15 at Horizon Pointe Church with Pastor Ritchie 
Miller and Chaplain Carl Ryden officiating. The family will receive friends until 6 p.m. following the service.
Survivors include his wife of almost 25 years, Lisa Tallman; children, Kristen and Russell Beaty, Ryan 
Tallman and Kevin Tallman, all of McDonough; mother and stepfather, Corelle and Robert Carpenter of 
McDonough; father and stepmother, Ronald and Maryann Tallman of Jackson, Ga.; sisters, Teresa and 
Rodney Brooks of Charlotte, N.C., Laura and Phillip McLendon of West Columbia, S.C., and Melissa and 
Audie Wright of Jackson, Ga.; brothers, Richard Tallman of Minnesota, Robert Tallman of Fayetteville, Ga., 
Allen Tallman of Forest Park, Ga., Timothy and Michelle Tallman of Jackson, Ga., and Greg and Dixie 
Tallman of High Falls, Ga.; nieces and nephews.

MAYS, LOUISE G.
Louise G. Mays, 92, a resident of Stockbridge, Ga., died Monday, Sept. 13, 2004.  Mrs. Mays was born 
in Marshallville, Ga., daughter of Casper and Mary Lou Mathis Grant. She met her late husband, A. M. 
(Dean) Mays, Sr., while visiting family in Stockbridge. Mrs. Mays is well known for her work with many 
charities and auxiliaries. She worked with the Henry County unit of the American Cancer Society, serving 
with the Board of Directors for many years. She volunteered as a Pink Lady at Southern Regional Hospital 
for many years and then with the Henry Medical Center Auxiliary after the hospital opened. Her favorite 
charity was Our Lady of Perpetual Help. After her children began high school Mrs. Mays attended Georgia 
State University School of Business and then was employed with Piedmont Hospital, and later worked with 
Dr. John Ridley. Mrs. Mays was the Past Worthy Matron of the Rex Order of Eastern Star and was named 
as Citizen of the Year by the Henry County Chamber of Commerce. She was a member of the Stockbridge 
First United Methodist Church. Mrs. Mays was preceded in death by her son, Dr. A.M. Mays Jr. and is 
survived by her daughter, Joan Cobb of Stockbridge; grandchildren, Michael Douglas Cobb of Milledgeville, 
Grant Mays, of California, Mark Mays of Locust Grove, Cheryl Banks, Zolfo Springs, Fla., Melinda Mays 
of Atlanta, Kelley Mays of Marietta, and Rebecca Mays of Stockbridge. Funeral Services will begin at 2 p.m. 
Thursday, Sept. 16 at the Chapel of Cannon-Cleveland Funeral Directors, with the Rev. Charlz McDonald 
officiating. Interment will follow at Burke Cemetery in Stockbridge.

GUYTON, PATRICIA GAYLE
Mrs. Patricia Gayle Guyton, 50, of McDonough, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2004, at her residence.
Mrs. Guyton was born Nov. 11, 1953, in Fulton County, Ga., to the late William Chastain Guthrie and 
the late Julia Mae McDaniel Guthrie. She was a hairdresser and a member of McDonough Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, James Guyton; children, Stephanie and Dan Starkey of Monterrey, Calif., 
James Barry Guyton of Stockbridge, Robie Crenshaw of Newnan, and Amanda and Nick Schmenk of 
Jonesboro; grandchildren, Katie Starkey, Katlyn Crenshaw, Alexis, MacKenzie and Mason Schmenk; 
brother and sister-in-law, Hugh and Alice Guthrie of Jefferson; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Brenda 
and Bobby Adkins of Stockbridge, Nancy and Harold Beach of Morrow, and Wanda and Steve Bradley 
of Covington.  Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 16, 2004, at the McDonough 
Church of Christ. Minister Jeff Wilder and Minister J.J. Turner will officiate. Interment will follow at 
Haisten/Eastlawn Memorial Park.

WALKER, JIMMY D.
Mr. Jimmy D. Walker, 70, of Locust Grove, formerly of Griffin, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2004, 
at the Henry Medical Center. Mr. Walker was born Jan. 30, 1934, in Wheeler County, Ga., to the late 
James Harris Walker and the late Gertrude Perdue Walker. Mr. Walker retired after 39 years with Northwest 
Airlines, was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness in Griffin, loved fishing, attending computer
workshops, and spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Elizabeth Wynn 
Walker; children and spouses, Connie and Marvin Parker of Jackson, Jon Walker of Locust Grove, 
Nova and Robert Nipper of St. Petersburg, Fla., Justin and Lilly Walker of High Falls; nine grandchildren 
and three great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sue and Raymond Terry of Fayetteville,
 Linda and Kenneth Davis of Boulder, Colo.; and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 
at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 17, 2004, in the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. Minister Otmar Rosenauer will 
officiate. Interment will be private.

McCURRY, KATHERINE O.
Mrs. Katherine O. McCurry, 83, of Rex, passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2004 at the A. G. 
Rhodes Home in Atlanta. Mrs. McCurry was born May 4, 1921 in Fulton County, to the late 
Cleveland Bartow Scott and the late Flora Leon Morgan Scott. She was preceded in death by a 
son, Ronald McCurry, and a brother, Harold Scott. She retired after 44 years with Sears and was 
a 40-year member of the Ellenwood United Methodist Church, and loved working with flowers.
Survivors include her son, Michael McCurry of McDonough, GA; daughter Patricia Knox of Calhoun; 
grandchildren, Karen Skinner, Nathan and Sherry Knox, Christy Aikens, Stephen, Michael and Michelle 
McCurry, Brian and Chris McCurry; brother, Leonard Scott of Anderson, S.C.; sister, Gwen Peek 
of Macon, GA.

MULLEN, DOROTHY THOMPSON
Dorothy Thompson Mullen of Jonesboro died Thursday, Sept. 16, 2004.  She is survived by her 
daughter, Mrs. Gail Arceneaux of Hampton; sister, Geneva Fuller of Riverdale; three grandchildren; 
four great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 19 at Tara Gardens Chapel 
with the Rev. Mike Halsey officiating. Internment will follow at College Park Cemetery.

MARTIN, JENNIE MAE
Mrs. Jennie Mae Wilson Martin, 94, of Hampton, Ga. died Thursday, Sept. 16, 2004, at Sacred Journey 
Hospice. Mrs. Martin was born Nov. 1, 1909, in Chattooga County, Ga., daughter of the late Hattie Jane 
Henderson and Judson G. Wilson. She was a member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church, and a devoted 
homemaker who enjoyed sewing, crocheting, reading, flowers, and grandchildren. Her husband, Willie 
Frank Martin, preceded her in death in 1944. Survivors are children, Evelyn M. Lambert of Hampton, 
Katheryn and Bobby Hinton of Fayetteville, Frankie and Albert Miller of Hampton, and Laurie and 
Bill Brackin of Douglasville; 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren; 
nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Martin will begin at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 19 at Liberty 
Hill Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jeff Gongwer and the Rev. Mike Henderson officiating. Interment 
will be at 11 a.m. Monday at New Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Cadley, Ga.

PEREZ-HANEY, LICIZ NIEVES
Mrs. Liciz Nieves Perez-Haney of Forest Park, born in Havana, Cuba Oct. 19, 1954, died Thursday, 
Sept. 16, 2004.  Liciz immigrated to the United States in 1970, and became a citizen in 1978.  She is 
survived by a daughter, Mr. and Mrs. James (Amaris) Motes; son, Mr. and Mrs. Roger (Melissa S.) 
Haney; grandchildren, Arcadia L. O'Neal, James C. Motes, Chloe M. Haney and Aidan C. Haney; 
sister, Maritza L Cuesta and Daysi C. Lara; nieces and nephews, Martha R. Garcia Collier and Albert 
Garcia; grand nephew, Edward F. Collier; ex-husband, Calvin T. Haney.  She was a strong person 
and lived a energetic life. Liciz has many friends and will be greatly missed by all, whose life she 
has touched.  Funeral service will be held Sunday, Sept. 19 at 10 a.m. at Tara Gardens Chapel. 
Internment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park.  

CRANFORD, HAZEL
Hazel Cranford of Forest Park died Thursday, Sept. 16, 2003.  Mrs. Cranford was a housewife and 
a member of the Ash Street Baptist Church. She was born in Iredell County, N.C.  She is survived 
by husband Dwight McRay Cranford of Forest Park; daughters, Shirley Cranford of Smyrna, and 
Mr. and Mrs. Ronald (Brenda) Stroup of Morrow; grandchildren, Tina Keaton of Dawsonville and 
Michael Stroup of Morrow.

SAYER, BOYD J.
Mr. Boyd J. Sayer, 81 of Stockbridge, Ga., died Thursday, Sept. 16, 2004.  He is survived by wife, 
Janis Sayer; children, Mary Sayer Hammond of Athens, Marsha Sayer Bedell of Los Lumas, N.M., 
and Mitchell James Sayer of Carrollton; grandchildren, Heather Comstock, Sean Sayer, Rachel Sayer, 
Erin Ball; several nieces & nephews. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18 at Pine 
Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Greg Howell officiating. Interment will follow at Crestlawn Memorial 
Gardens. Family will receive friends Saturday from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Mr. Sayer was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church, former member of Gordon St. Baptist Church.

RODRIQUEZ, JOHN M.
John M. Rodriquez Sr., 44, of Covington, died Sept. 18, 2004. Surviving are his wife Elaine; sons 
John M. Rodriquez Jr. and Jamie Lee Rodriquez, both of Covington; sister, Gloria May of Woodstock; 
brothers, Robert Rodriquez of Conyers, Joe Rodriquez of Augusta; one grandchild; nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 22, in the chapel of Henry Funeral Home. Interment 
will be in Lawnwood Memorial Park. 

WYMAN,  DUANE ALLEN
Mr. Duane Allen Wyman, 32, of Locust Grove, Ga. died Saturday, Sept. 18, 2004.  Duane was born in 
Peoria, Ill. on Dec. 10, 1971. He was a member of the Sons of American Legion Post 1276, and enjoyed 
hunting, fishing, NASCAR and Westerns. Duane is survived by his father and stepmother, Larry 
and Janis Wyman of McDonough; mother, Karen Wyman of Mackinaw, Ill.; children, Camisha Wyman 
of Mackinaw, Justis Wyman of Mackinaw and Chase Wyman of Locust Grove; fiancé, Shana Craig 
of Locust Grove; brother, Dan and Missy Wyman of Lilly, Ill.; stepbrother, Randy and Cristy Petty 
of Hampton; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and numerous cousins. Funeral services for Duane 
Wyman will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 22 in the chapel of Haensel Funeral Home in Mackinaw, 
Ill. Interment will be at Mackinaw Township Cemetery.

MESSIMER, RUSSELL "RUSTY"
Russell "Rusty" Messimer of Locust Grove died Saturday, Sept. 18, 2004.  He was a Mason, Fraternal 
Lodge 37, and a Shriner. Services will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 22 in the Thomas L. Scroggs 
chapel. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens in McDonough. Survivors include his wife, 
Anne Messimer; daughter, Jewel Messimer; mother, Beverly Messimer; brother, Vincent Almoina; 
uncle, Jimmy and Jeanne Messimer; great uncles, Glen and Rose Dills and Wayne and Bonnie Dills; 
great aunts, Mary and Jack Smart and Bertha and Howell Crisp.

LACY, RICHARD E.
Dr. Richard E. Lacy, 52, of Stockbridge, Ga. died Sunday, Sept. 19, 2004.  He was born Dec. 18, 1951.
in New Jersey and was a loving husband, father and uncle. He founded Lacy Chiropractic Clinic 
in 1974, where he continued to practice until the time of his death. Survivors include his loving wife, 
Charenay Lacy; son, David Lacy, daughter and son-in-law, Belline and Rich Thien; godchild, Daranh 
Hun, all of Stockbridge; parents, Doris MacLachlan of Fruita, Colo. and Bill Lacy of Tarpon Springs, 
Fla.; granddaughter, Trinity Thien of Stockbridge; sisters, Gwen Baker of Barboursville, Va., Carla 
Griffin of Fruita, Colo., Sharon Stockton of Fruita, Colo., and Karen Mascitelli of Corona Delmar, Calif.

ELLIOTT, ROBERT "BOB" FLETCHER
Mr. Robert "Bob" Fletcher Elliott, 80, of McDonough, Ga. died Monday, Sept. 20, 2004, at Henry 
Medical Center. Mr. Elliott was born Jan. 26, 1924, in McDonough, Ga., son of the late Rachael Henry 
Elliott and Robert Fletcher Elliott. He was a member of First Baptist Church of McDonough, retired 
as a lawyer with Hartford Insurance Company, graduated from Boys High School of Atlanta in 1941, 
and Atlanta Law School, served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II as a Navy Pilot, 
enjoyed photography, skeet shooting and fellowship with friends and family. His wife, Betty Burch 
Elliott of McDonough; children, Ted Elliott of McDonough, Art and Laura Elliott of McDonough 
and Steve and Denise Elliott of Lizella, Ga.; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews 
survive Mr. Elliott.  A memorial service for Mr. Elliott will be Thursday, Sept. 23, 2004 at 11 a.m. 
in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home,

FINCANNON, BARRY
Barry Fincannon, 61, of Stockbridge, died Sept. 18, 2004.  Fincannon was a member of the Atlanta 
Country Music Association. Survivors include his wife, Lee Fincannon; children Jason Fincannon 
and Amy Wassill; brother, Randy Fields; and grandchildren, Julian, Justin and Jo-Z.  Funeral services 
will be held Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2004, at 2 p.m. at Horis Ward Funeral Home, Rockdale Chapel.

LEE, DONALD HENRY
Mr. Donald Henry Lee, 51, of Hampton, died Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2004.  He is survived by his 
mother, Wanda S. Lee of Morrow; sisters Gaili Wood of Stockbridge, Deborah Ware of Stockbridge, 
Shirley Lee of Ellenwood and Millie Lee of Carrollton; seven nieces and nephews. Funeral services 
will be Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2004, at 11 a.m. in the Jonesboro Chapel of Pope Dickson & Son Funeral 
Home. Burial will be in Jonesboro Cemetery.

Barbara McBerry, 60, of Stockbridge passed away Thursday, Sept. 23, 2004.  She was preceded 
in death by her daughter, Renee Flury. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 25 
at The Stockbridge Assembly of God with the Rev. Jerry Stewart officiating. Interment will follow 
at Fairview Memorial Gardens. Survivors include her husband, Harry McBerry; daughter and son-in-law, 
Jill and Donny Grimes of Milledgeville; daughter, Sonja Lyn McBerry of Atlanta; sisters, Mary 
Pittman of Austell and Betty Brown of Powder Springs; grandchildren, Caitlin Garner, Courtney 
Garner and Crystal Grimes, all of Milledgeville.

HUGGINS, LARRY FRED
Mr. Larry Fred Huggins, 64, of McDonough, died Friday, Sept. 24, 2004, at Southern Regional 
Medical Center. He was born Oct. 26, 1939 in Pine Grove, West Va., son of the late Garnet Mae 
Fluharty and George Fred Huggins. He was a member of Pine Grove Methodist Church, graduated 
Pine Grove High School Class of 1957, served his country in the U.S. Navy, and had worked
 for Caterpillar Company for more than 25 years. Mr. Huggins enjoyed photography, flowers,

Steven Huggins of Brooks, Ga.; sisters, Sandra Renshaw of Wheeling, W.Va., and Linda Isinghood 
of Hartwell, Ga.; six grandchildren and his cats, Mama and Jennifer.

MILLER, VICKIE LYNN
Vickie Lynn Miller, 43, of McDonough, passed away Sept. 24, 2004.  Survivors include three 
children, Bobby Shelton, Erica Miller and Randall Jake Miller; sister Deborah Vollm; five brothers, 
Ricky Mayo Spinks, Grady Lee Spinks, Kenneth Wayne Spinks, Jeffery Scott Spinks and James 
Leon Spinks; one grandchild, Bobby James Shelton Jr.; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral 
services will be Tuesday, Sept. 28, at 11 a.m. at Pope Dickson & Son Morrow Chapel with the Rev. 
Hinton Harris officiating. Interment will be at Hollywood Cemetery.

YATES, GLENN DOYLE "RED"
Glenn Doyle "Red" Yates, 71, of Molena, Ga. died Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2004, at his home.
Mr. Yates was a U.S. Navy veteran, a Delta Air Lines retiree, and owner of D-n-T Custom Tees. 
He was also a dedicated and talented musician, specializing in bluegrass as a member of 
"Brushfire." He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary A. "Toni" Yates.  The funeral service 
will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 3 at McKoon Funeral Home, with Father Karl Duggan and Pastor 
Charles Bennett officiating. Interment will follow at Westminster Memorial Gardens in Peachtree
 City, Ga. He is deeply loved and will be profoundly missed. Survivors include his daughters, 
Teresa Hobbs of Jonesboro, Deb Salter of Jonesboro and Sandra Salter of Jonesboro; sons, David 
Yates of Jonesboro and Alan Yates of Atlanta; sisters, Shirley Holloway of Austell, Ga. and Helen 
Horne of Franklin, Ga.; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; numerous extended family and friends.

Edith Maria Parnell of Stockbridge passed away Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2004.  Funeral services

Mrs. Sybil L. Agan, 72, of Hampton, died Thursday, Sept. 30, 2004.  She was the widow of the
