He was born in Tampa, Fla. to Enrique and Anna Maria Perez Velasco. Mr. Velasco is survived by his daughter, Linda Wread of Stockbridge, Ga. and son, Bill Velasco of Centerville, Va.; brother, Albert Velasco of Holmes Beach, Fla.; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. Graveside services were conducted at Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors. KLINE, RONALD ELMER Mr. Ronald Elmer Kline, 62, of McDonough, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2005. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend. He blessed many with his sense of humor and his wonderful smile. He is preceded in death by father, Mr. Elmer Kline; a sister, Jolee Kline; and sister, Sandra McWhorter. CALEY, RUTH EVELYN Mrs. Ruth Evelyn Owens Caley, 64, of Locust Grove, Ga., died May 1, 2005. Daughters, Marie Hare in 1980 and Diana Holbrook in 2002 preceded her in death. May 4, 2005 MITCHELL, KATHERINE SHARON Mrs. Katherine Sharon Mitchell, 59, of McDonough, Ga. died Wednesday, May 4, 2005, at Sacred Journey Hospice. Katherine was born in Fulton County, Ga., daughter of Lovell Loran Chapman and the late Katherine Elizabeth Bolton. She had retired from Bell South with more than 20 years of service. Katherine was a member and a clown with the Bell South Pioneers. Her clown name was YoYo. Survivors include her husband, Charlie Mitchell of McDonough; son, Jerry and Lisa Larkins of Atlanta; stepdaughters, Melissa and James Burrowbridge of Locust Grove, and Jennifer and Brian Mueller of Birmingham; brother, Gary and Arlene Chapman of McDonough; eight grandchildren. LEONI, ORLANDO Mr. Orlando Leoni of McDonough passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2005, at the age of 91. Mr. Leoni was born in Rayland, Ohio and moved to Pittsburgh, Pa., where he worked for Blaw Knox, a steel manufacturing company, for 30 years. Upon retiring Mr. Leoni and wife Frances moved San Diego, Calif. where they lived for 25 years before moving to Georgia. He is survived by his wife, Frances Leoni; sons, Joseph Leoni and wife Donna of McDonough and Ronald Leoni of Amherst, Ohio; daughter, Corinne Minhinnick of Waterford, Mich.; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. Interment to follow at Sherwood Memorial Park. JACKSON, PATRICIA Patricia Jackson, born Nov. 28, 1944, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, May 4th, 2005. Mrs. Jackson, a graduate of Forest Park High School, also worked at Publix in Mount Zion and was very dedicated to her family. Above all, Pat was a source of inspiration to her children, a caring wife, a loving daughter and sister, and a great friend to all who knew her. She is joined in eternity by her son Chris Duffey. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. CRANE, ROYCE LAWRENCE Royce Lawrence Crane, 63, of Morrow, Ga. passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2005. He was a member of the Forest Park Moose Lodge, the Forest Park Masonic Lodge, owner of Brooks Restaurant in the Fairview Community for eight years, and worked for Ford Motor Company for 31 years. Mr. Crane is survived by his wife, Nancy Crane; daughters, Dena (Aubie) Campbell of Stockbridge, Gina (Brian) Bush of Mobile, Ala., and Selena (Mark) Yamasaki of McDonough; grandchildren, Mitch, Samantha, Alley, Corey, Brannon, and Malaya; sister, Pat Thurman of Gainesville, Ga. Interment to follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens. HUSSEY, MARY PEMBELTON Mary Pembleton Hussey passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 4, 2005, at the age of 90. Mrs. Hussey was born in Oswego, N.Y. and grew up in New York City, spending two years with her beloved grandparents in Athens, Pa. and cherished summers on Martha's Vineyard. Upon graduation from St. Agatha's School for Girls, she earned a degree from Columbia Presbyterian School of Nursing in New York City in 1937. After working for six years in the cardiology department of Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, she joined the U.S. Army Nursing Corps and worked at Haleran Hospital, where she participated in administering some of the first penicillin injections to wounded soldiers returning to the United States. She was deployed overseas in 1944, and was stationed in Rheims, France at a German POW hospital. It was at Rheims that she met and married Lt. Col. Irving Hussey. They honeymooned on the Riviera, and were about to be sent to the Burma/India Theatre when V-J Day was announced. Back home, Mrs. Hussey continued her nursing career on and off while she and her husband raised four children. In later years, she nursed her husband until his death in 1989. Her sister, Susan, then joined her, and moved to McDonough in 1993. Mrs. Hussey is survived by four children, Stephen Hussey, Julia Yacoubian, Philip Hussey, and Joan Hussey; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by both her sisters, Susan Klath and Joan Pruder. Mary Hussey was an individual of splendid character who carried herself with a humble dignity that combined sweetness and wisdom. Her spirit will continue to live in a special place in the hearts of those who loved her. Interment will be in Athens, Pa. May 5, 2005 NEUNDORGER, OSCAR LEWIS JR. Mrs. Ray was born Sept. 20, 1930, in Bibb County, daughter of the late Nellie May Kitchens and Clarence Edgar Stokes. Mrs. Ray was a devoted homemaker who enjoyed crafts, antiques, working with flowers, and being very creative. May 6, 2005 MOORE, DONALD LEE Donald Lee Moore, age 81, of Stockbridge, Georgia died Friday May 6, 2005. Mr. Moore was a truck driver by profession and served in the United States Army during World War II. Survivors include two sons, W.L. Moore, Stockbridge, Ga. and Steve Moore, Carrollton, Ga.; grandson, Jason Moore and granddaughter, Tamara Isbell and great grandson Trey Christian Isbell of Stockbridge. May 7, 2005 LYNCH, KATHERINE Katherine Lynch, age 95, of Stockbridge, died Saturday, May 7, 2005. She was born in Winder, daughter of the late William Issac and Bertha Lanora Kemp Fowler. Mrs. Lynch was known for her generosity and sense of humor. She had a gentle touch and a desire to cheer up others. She loved the outdoors, the sunshine and the flowers. Most importantly, she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her daughter, Katherine Hogan, McDonough; grandson, David McCollum, Forest Park; granddaughters, Karon McCollum, Decatur, and Kelly Albertson, McDonough; great-granddaughter, Kollyn Albertson, McDonough; and brother, Gene Fowler, Plant City, Fla., survive Mrs. Lynch. May 8, 2005 COULTER, CHARLES RAY Mr. Charles Ray Coulter, 81, of Locust Grove passed away Sunday, May 8, 2005, at the Southern Regional Medical Center. Mr. Coulter was born July 28, 1923, in Gassaway, W.Va. to the late William Henderson and Etta Bell Stewart Coulter. He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Dorothy Lee Ennis Coulter. He retired after 22 1/2 years with the United States Army, having served in World War II, was a member of the Locust Grove United Methodist Church, and enjoyed his computer chat time. C. to James Edward and Althea Cogburn Foster on July 13, 1917. She was preceded in death by her sister, Carolyn Stuhman. Survivors include her daughter Judy and C.H. EISENHART, ALBERT FRANKLIN Mr. Albert Franklin Eisenhart, 87, of McDonough, formerly of Fort Meyers, Fla., went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, May 11, 2005. He is survived by his beloved wife, Lucy Eisenhart; son, Dan Eisenhart of North Carolina; daughter, Sue Murton of McDonough; five loving grandchildren. Mr. Eisenhart was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio. He was an executive with the Ohio Bell Telephone Company for 32 years. He served in the South Pacific during World War II. May 12, 2005 CANNADY, KEVIN LEE Mr. Kevin Lee Cannady, 42, of McDonough passed away Thursday, May 12, 2005, at the Sacred Journey Hospice. Kevin was born Oct. 22, 1962, in Orlando, Fla. to Johnny and Marjorie Cameron Cannady. He was a mechanic and attended Stockbridge Assembly of God. BUFFINGTON, STACY LYNN BROCK Stacy Lynn (Brock) Buffington, of Newnan, passed away early Thursday, May 12, 2005, at her residence. She was 39 years old. Stacy was born in Fulton County and lived the early years of her life in Clayton County. She later moved to Coweta County, where she lived the remainder of her life. May 14, 2005 CASEY, EDWARD DANIEL Edward Daniel "Dan" Casey, 81, of Lake City, passed away from this world on May 14, 2005. He was born on Independence Day 1923 to Oliver Riley Casey and Julia Metcalf Casey in Inman, S.C., where he later married his wife of 63 years, Mary Louise Allen. After serving in the Army during World War II and attending business school, he joined Southern Railway, where he worked for 40-plus years until his retirement in 1985. He moved with his young family to Forest Park, having been transferred to Atlanta from Charlotte, N.C., in 1954. Dan and his wife, Mary, joined and became active members in their new church, Jones Memorial United Methodist, soon after arriving in Clayton County - teaching Sunday school and serving in several capacities, including chairman of the board. Always civic-minded, he was a past member and president of the Forest Park Jaycees and, in later years, the Forest Park Kiwanis Club, where he made many friends and became a widely known figure in the "movers and shakers" of the vibrant county in the 60s, 70s and 80s. He was a loving and devoted husband and father, enjoying frequent contact with his extended family, all having remained in the area. Known by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren as "Dan-daddy," he enjoyed gardening, fishing on West Point and Spivey lakes, and he rarely missed a Braves game on TV. He is survived by his wife, Mary; son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Meg Casey, of Rex; daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Larry Knight, of Fayetteville; son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Lee Casey, of Jonesboro; daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and John Zingarelli, of Lilburn; brother and sister-in-law, Neil and Lib Casey, of Spartanburg, S.C.; sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Tom Brittain, of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; as well as six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. May 15, 2005 PRESTON, EDUTH ALMA Mrs. Eduth Alma Cothran Preston, age 84, of Locust Grove, passed away May 15, 2005, at the Brightmoor Nursing Home in Griffin. She was born June 1, 1920, in Bartow County to the late William C. and Nancy McElreath Cothran. She was preceded in death by her husband, F.D. Preston Sr. in 1990. She was a professional seamstress, a water aerobics instructor, was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and a member of the East Point Church of God. Survivors include children, Nancy P. Olds, Rebecca J. Preston, Dorothy P. and Jim Byrom, Franklin D. Jr. and Tammy Preston, James W. Interment will follow at Georgia Memorial Park in Marietta BROWN, JEANETTE WILSON Dr. Jeanette Wilson Brown, age 77, of Locust Grove, passed away May 15, 2005, at the Sacred Journey Hospice. She was born Nov. 29, 1927, in Jasper County, Ala., to the late Joe and Alice Wilson. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Wiley Archibald Brown Sr. in 1999. She received a bachelor's degree from Tift College, a master's degree from Emory University, a specialist's degree from the University of Georgia and a Ph.D in administration and curriculum from Georgia State. She was retired after 32 years with the Henry County Board of Education, having taught at McDonough Elementary School, was curriculum director and assistant superintendent and a member of the Locust Grove Baptist Church, where she served as a Sunday school teacher. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Arch and Sissy Brown, of McDonough, and Chris and Nan Brown, of Locust Grove; grandchildren, Canon, Donovan, Kathryn and Margaret Brown; and a great-grandson, Logan Brown. John was born Aug. 1, 1941, in Henry County to the late Hugh Slaton and Laura Virginia Wilkerson Lunsford. He was preceded in death by a brother, Tony Lunsford. He worked at Zack's in McDonough for more than 20 years and was a member of Moons Grove Baptist Church in Colbert. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Jackie Turner Lunsford; sons and daughter-in-law, Andy and Laurie Lunsford and Keith Lunsford of Colbert; grandchildren, Kristin and Jordan Lunsford; sister and brother-in-law, Jeanette and W.C. ARLT, DORIS IRENE Doris Irene Arlt, 77, died Saturday, May 21, 2005 at her residence. Born in Assyria Center, Mich., she was the daughter of the late Carl and Rena Keys. She as a member of Compass Community Church. She was a claims supervisor for AAA and also worked in Research and Development for Kellogg's. Doris was an avid crafts maker and loved writing poetry. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Carlene Fuller Hawks and brother, Moe Keys. Survivors include her sons, Chuck Arlt of Bogart, Mike Fuller of Stockbridge, Joe Arlt of Watkinsville, daughter, Janey Kirk of Battle Creek, Mich., brother Carl and wife Linda Keys, Jr., eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was a life-long resident of Butts County born June 1, 1916 to Mercer and Mollie Mae Duke Hodges. She was the wife of the late Willis Harmon McClure who died Dec. 15, 2004. LANGLEY, HERB Herb Langley, age 75, beloved husband, grandfather, brother and friend of Forest Park, died May 29, 2005, at Sacred Journey Hospice. Herb was born March 20, 1930, in Fyffe, Ala., son to the late Lewis and Flora Graves Langley. He served our country in the U.S. Air Force as a Military Police Staff Sergeant in Korea during the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1954. He retired from Delta Air Lines in 1987, after 23 years as a sheet metal mechanic.
