The Henry County Weekly, January 8, 1897
     Mrs. Nancy Carmichael, another aged and respected ladies of the Sixth 
District, passed peacefully to rest on last Monday, Jan. 4, 1897.
     She was the wife of “Uncle Jimmie” Carmichael, a former prominent citizen 
of Henry County, and she was a good woman whose death is mourned. 
     Her remains were interred in the family burial ground Tuesday evening, 
Rev. F. Pharr performing the funeral ceremonies.
