DEATH OF DR. G.T. CONNELL

Most of our citizens were surprised to hear on Wednesday morning of the death 
of Dr. Connell. It is true he had been in ill health for some time, but had 
been confined to his room but a few days. He died at 4 o'clock on Wednesday 
morning at the residence of his brother Mr. John Rodahan, where he had been 
living since his return from Atlanta last summer. His disease, we are informed 
by Dr. Cheney, was congestion of the lungs.

Dr. Connell was well known throughout this county, having been a citizen of 
Carrollton since 1854. He came here from McDonough, Henry county. Dr. 
Connell was a man of good information and was well read in his profession. Of a
tender and sympathetic nature, he was easily touched by the calls of suffering 
humanity. The deceased leaves a wife and several children to mourn his loss, 
to whom the community tenders their sympathies in their bereavement. He was 
buried on Thursday morning in the public cemetery in this place.
