F. Elliott and claimed as its victim Lily Grace, age one year and eleven days after several weeks of intense suffering. We can rejoice by faith, even in this sad ordeal, that God saves the little infant by his grace, and safely lands them in Heaven as He does the adults. We wonder sometimes why God sees fit to tear the tender cords of mother’s heart and separates her from the idol of her life, but in accordance with His assertion to suffer little children to come unto me and forbid them not, for of such is the kingdom of Heaven. “We must bow in humble submission and say,” The Lord giveth and he taketh away, Blessed is his holy name. And some bright day, on yonder shore where pain and sorrow are no more, Our friend on whom our sins are cast will make it clear and plain at last. The funeral service was very appropriately conducted by Rev. M. Partridge at the family burying ground Friday afternoon after which the remains were laid to rest to await the second coming of Christ, when He will say to the earth and sea, north to give up, and south keep not back, and will gather his jewels Home in glory. May Gods richest blessings rest upon the bereaved is our prayer. Lois B.
