MRS. FORBES SUCCUMBS TO DEATH
     After a long and painful illness Mrs. H. H. Forbes died Monday night at
eleven o'clock.
     A great sufferer for the past few years with a painful and hopeless disease
she bore her affictions with great fortitude and courage.
     Mrs. Forbes was a lifelong resident of Henry County and was held in highest
esteem by all who knew her.
     Her interest in every cause of good, her genuine qualities and sympathetic
nature endeared her to scores of friends who will miss her loyalty and 
helpfulness.
     Her womanly qualities shone brightest in her home which she served with 
greatest devotion, endeavoring to make it a haven of rest, peace and joy for 
both husband and children.
     Her tender ministrations, her care, her prayers and her sacreficial love
will ever remain one of the most beautiful spots in memory's garden to those
near and dearest to her.
     She was a faithful member of the McDonough Presbyterian Church and gave
most willing service as long as her health would permit, counting it all joy to
serve her Lord.
     She is survived by her husband, Mr. H. H. Forbes; two children, Mr. L. D.
Forbes and Miss Priscilla Forbes; one brother, Mr. R. W. Dickerson; and two 
sisters, Mrs. Edna Stroud and Mrs. J. F. Adair.
     The funeral was conducted at the McDonough Baptist Church at 10:30 o'clock
Wednesday morning, Rev. L. D. King assisted by Dr. W. W. Arnold officiating.
     Interment was at the McDonough Cemetery.
     "Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord."
