P. Green, in McMullen’s district, Miss Maggie Green departed this life, after an illness of two weeks with pneumonia and her remains were laid to rest at Timberridge, Rev. C. W. Humphries, her former pastor, preaching the funeral. Also on Friday last, Mrs. Dixon Bowen departed this life at her home in Love’s district, and the remains were laid to rest in the family burial ground at White House on Saturday. Rev. Almand officiating. Mrs. Bowen was one of Henry county’s aged citizens, for long years a member of the Primitive Baptist church and a most loyal Christian woman.
