DEATH OF MRS. BECKY HARLAN
     We regret to note the death of Mrs. Becky Harlan which occured at the home
of Mr. Walter Fields last Monday night after an illness of several months 
duration. She had made her home at Mr. Fields for some time, and is survived
by one brother, Mr. W. R. Rowan and a large number of friends and relatives. She
was a noble good woman, and will be sadly missed by her friends and loved ones.
Her remains were laid to rest at Mt. Carmel Church Wednesday morning. Rev. J. A.
Patridge conducting the funeral services. D. T. Carmichael funeral director in 
charge.
