P. MOORE IS DEAD AT HAMPTON HOME Monday morning A. Porter Moore, 45, died at his home three miles from Hampton. Besides his wife, he is survived by six children, Andrew, 12; Florence, 10; Hugh, 8; Annie, 6; Oscar, 2 and a baby one month old. His wife was Miss Beatrice Andrews before her marriage. Mr. Moore was a prominent farmer and a member of the Masons. Funeral and interment was held at Liberty Hill church Tuesday at 2 o’clock. L. J. and E. S. Copeland was the funeral directors in charge. Second Obit for A. P. Moore The Henry County Weekly, December 14, 1923 IN MEMORY OF A. P. MOORE On December 3rd, 1923 the grim reaper of death visited our community and claimed as his victim Mr. A. P. Moore. He was the son of A. J. and Sarah Moore, of Flovilla, Ga. where he was borned and raised he had been a resident of Henry County for about 12 years where he had won the confidence and respect of all who knew him. He was 44 years old at the time of his death. And while he had never connected himself with the church he left behind the evidence of a bright hope that he would sweetly rest on the banks of sweet deliverance. He is survived by his wife and six children, Andrew, Florence, Hugh, Annie, Oscar and baby not yet named. Also three brothers, and two sisters, R. W. Moore, of Jenkinsburg, Ga., H. J. and S. W. Moore, of Hampton Ga., Mrs. W. Smith, of Jackson, Ga., and Mrs. O. J. Jeter, of Century, Fla. The funeral was conducted at his home by Rev. A. A. Heath. The remains was laid to rest in Liberty Hill cemetery to await the resurrection morn. He was buried with Masonic honors.
