FOUR YEAR OLD CHILD MEETS DEATH ACCIDENTALLY
     The tender sympathy of all is extended to Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Martin, in 
the sad and tragic death of their little four year old child which occurred  at 
their home a few miles west of McDonough, last Thursday night. The cause which 
led up to the child’s death is indeed sad and touching, as it was an accident 
that occurred, that caused its death. An older son of Mr. Martin had been out 
hunting during the day and on returning home in the afternoon he set his gun 
down, and a little later one of his little brothers playfully picked up the 
gun, and in his youthful years he did not think about the gun being loaded and  
playfully pointed it at his little four year old sister and pulled the trigger, 
which caused the gun to fire, the whole load of shot taking effect in the 
child’s body which caused its death a few hours later. It was indeed a sad 
deplorable accident, and the Weekly join their many friends extending to the 
family our sympathy in their sad hour. It’s remains were laid to rest in the 
cemetery at Liberty Hill church Friday, after appropriate funeral services 
conducted by pastor Rev. A. A. Heath, Ellis-Setzer Co. Funeral Directors in 
charge.

Rosa Lee, and we take this method of thanking our many friends for their 
kindness during this great ordeal and for the beautiful floral offering. May 
Gods richest blessing ever be yours, is our prayer.
