R. Nix and snatched from their presence their loving boy Leonard, who was scarcely twelve years old. Leonard belonged to the Sunday School, and was regularly at his post. He was taken sick while at school, with congestion of the brain, and carried home, but was never able to speak only a few words. Two good physicians attended him, but to no avail. He suffered intensely, living about one and a half days and departed this life Jan. 14, 1897. Like the florist who plucks such flowers as he needs, this is God’s garden. He takes just such flowers as He wants to ornament His mansion, for the Book says, “Suffer little children to come unto me, for of such is the kingdom of heaven.” What a consolation to the bereaved family.
