MR. P. W. PULLIN PASSES AWAY
     Near noon Tuesday, Mr. P. W. Pullin died at his home on Griffin Street 
after a lingering illness, at the age of 74.
     Born and reared in Henry County he lived at the old homestead until about 
fifteen years ago, when he erected a new home in McDonough and move his family 
into it.
     Mr. Pullin was a substantial, influential citizen of highest integrity and 
honor and won the merited esteem of his fellow citizens.
     Of great business sagacity and acumen he made a success of his 
undertakings and became one of the captains of industry whose judgment and 
counsel could be relied upon.
     A man of strong attachments, he valued his friends and was rewarded by 
many close friendships, and his passing away will be keenly felt by these.
     A member of the Baptist Church, he was faithful and consistent, serving in 
his quiet unobtrusive way.
     A loving faithful husband, he was left to mourn the loss of his life 
companion who “passed on before” about three years ago.
     As a father he was tender and indulgent, counting nothing too dear for the 
beloved sons whose welfare was ever uppermost on his heart.
     He is survived by five sons: Messrs. John, William, Wade, Wilson and 
Jeptha Pullin all of McDonough and two grand children.
     The funeral services were conducted at McDonough Baptist church on 
Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 o’clock by his pastor, Dr. W. W. Arnold, and he was 
laid to rest in McDonough Cemetery beside his beloved companion, there to await 
the resurrection morn.
