She is survived by her mother, Mrs. William Rosser. The funeral was from Locust Grove Baptist Church, Friday 3 p. m. Rev. Clegg assisted by Rev. Heard officiated. Interment in church yard, D. T. director in charge. She was a faithful member of the church. She was not only faithful in believing that it was her duty as a Christian to do the will of her Master at all times. She was always ready to lend a helping hand, in time of need, both in acts of kindness and in words. At the last, while surrounded with mother, friends and relatives, being unable to speak, she opened her eyes and with a pleasant smile on her face gave them all farewell. Truly she could say: “O death, where is thy sting; O Grave, where is thy victory?” In describing Christian and Hopeful coming to the gate of the Celestial City. John Bunyan wrote: “Now, I saw in my dream that these two went in at the gate, and lo! as they entered, they were transformed; and they had raiment put on, that shown like gold. Then I heard in my dream that all the bells in the city rang for joy, and it was said unto them, “Enter ye into the joy of your Lord,” and after that they shut up the gates, which, when I had seen, I wished myself among them. They go from strength to strength, form joy to joy forever.” So this life has passed into the joy of her Lord, the memory of her life must prove a perpetual inspiration.
