He has been called from us to that Heavenly home above which God has prepared for his children. He was not only a good son, but a good brother and a good friend. His death was unexpected to his family and friends. He is gone but not forgotten There’s a place no one else can fill but Ralph. No more we will see that smiling face, Or hear that sweet voice, He left a mother, Mrs. G. F. Standard, two sisters, Flora and Frances and two brothers, Forrest and Wilson, all of Hampton, and many friends who mourn his going away. Servant of God well done, Thy glorious warfare’s past. The battle fought, the race is won. And thou art crowned at last. We loved him, yes we loved him, But Jesus loved him best. For angels, He, sent his eyes to dim, And bring him Home to rest. Redeemed from earth and pain Oh, when shall we ascend. And all in Jesus presence reign With our translated friends. A loved one from us has gone, And left his home so bare. He’s gone to live with Jesus, Let’s prepare to meet him there, It was Thursday evening, June 1928, Jesus sent an angel down, With a message to thee Servants wear Home this golden crown. He’s gone but not forgotten, Never will his memory fade, Sweetest thought, will ever linger, Around the grave where he is laid. Yes a loved one from us has gone, And a voice we loved so well is still No one knows how we will miss him. Farewell, Ralph peaceful be thy rest. Farewell, Ralph we must bid our last farewell. Till we meet beyond the river. Happy there will thee dwell. Sister.
