MRS. MARY ELLEN TARPLEY DEAD
     Mrs. Mary Ellen Tarpley died at the home of her husband, Mr. Marcellus
Tarpley, about four miles west of McDonough, last Friday night, after a short
illness.
     Mrs. Tarpley was an excellent woman, and her death is sincerely regretted
by all who knew her. She leaves a husband and four small children, to mourn
their irreparable loss, and numerous friends join them in tenderest sympathy.
