J. P. WELSH On the morning of Dec. 25, Mrs. J. P. Welsh passed into eternity. She was 81 years old and one of Rocky Creek’s eldest and most faithful members. She was a good and noble woman and bore her grief and sorrow without a murmur. She will be missed by everyone that knew her. Though we do not hear her dear sweet voice we know she is at rest. There has been four taken from this home in the last four years, we deeply sympathize with the bereaved ones, left to mourn for their dear ones gone on. But God doeth all things well, they can only live in hopes of meeting them some sweet day. Farewell dear; but not forever, There will be a glorious dawn, We shall meet to part-no-never. On the resurrection morn, Tho‘, thy darling form lies sleeping In the cold and silent tomb, Than shalt have a glorious waking, When the blessed Lord doth come. A precious one from them has gone. A voice they loved is still. A chair is vacant in their home, Which never can be filled, God in his wisdom has recalled, The boon his love has given, And tho’ her body slumbers here, Her soul is safe in heaven. She is survived by two daughters and two sons, three sisters and one brother. The funeral was conducted by Rev. Hooten at the home, Dec. 26. The remains were laid to rest in Liberty Hill cemetery. Copeland and Son funeral directors in charge.~ Two Friends.
