ALEXANDER CARTER-no date

Alexander “Alex” Carter was born September 17, 1863 in Henry Co. He was the 
second youngest child of Leonidas D. and Priscilla(Nelms)Carter. He married 
Elizabeth Lassiter in Henry Co. in March 1893. “Betty” died in March 1900, and 
is buried at Sardis Baptist Church. In January 1909, Alex married Jenny Nelms 
Savage. There are no known descendants. Alex died in 1925 and is believed to be 
buried in an unmarked grave at Sardis, near Betty.
