WILLIAM LEE AND MARY ALICE(LOFTON)CARTER-no date

William Lee Carter was born May 27, 1866, the youngest son of Leonidas D. and 
Priscilla(Nelms)Carter. He married Mary Alice Lofton in Butts Co. on April 3, 
1887. The couple had ten children: sons, Walter J., Frank L., Van O, and Russie 
R.; and, daughters, Annie P., Ruby M., Nina B, Ethel V., Effie A., and Gladys 
L. William and Mary Alice(Lofton)Carter are buried at Sardis Baptist Church.
