October 30 to November 8, 1853

The 30th continued: "..up the road to read-met Mr. & Mrs. A.-then came back".

November 2nd: "..[weather report]...got J. E. B. to cut me a cote-we built a 
stage today-rehersal(of)plays-B. G. H. working at the Snapping Shoals".

The 3rd: "I went to meeting Mt. B.-J. G. P. preached-Text 10C. 35V of Hebrews-
the last sermon(d-?)I ever expect to hear him preach-I came by L. N.(?)Upchurch-
J. A. McMullen & M. J. O. went with me to mee(ing)".

The 4th: "at school-rehersed plays in eve-then I went home with D. L. C.-stade 
all night-he told me that he was going to marry-he told me a great deal about 
it-happy to be in his company".

The 5th: "came here wrote this-then I am going to the house-they went(to)I. 
Grants-B. in law-I went to J. T. Knowles-on my way ate diner at L. R.(B.?)
Farbins-went on -found all well".

The 6th: "Joe's wrote him a letter-ate diner then he came with me to Rocky 
Plains-I came on to L. R. F.-stade till nearly night-just time for to get home-
came to W. T. T.s all night".

The 7th: "...C. D. H. was at home at noon(?)but left & just as I was going to 
the school house-J. Stewart came to move them(at last-for they have been long 
talking of it a long time)-[between lines: "Hooks came while we was loading"]-I 
hope him load-as we was loading-Mr. A. J. A. came by-I asked him if he would 
come by and carry my trunk to his house-he said he would-he came back(back)took 
it to his house-I went there stade all night with D. L. C.".

The 8th: "I came to the store-B. G. H. came-I went with...".
