December 26, 1852 to January 23, 1854

The 26th continued: "..two letters one from Uncle Joe for Pa-myself 1 from B. 
G. H.-came home-in eve went with Mr. R. to B. Coll(iers?)-thence to J. Royles
(?)".

January 1st: "at home all day-Dooly all day".

The 2nd: "This morning left for Henry C.-my father with me-we stad(with) Mr. 
Thompson 2 1/2 miles from M(ontezuma?)".

The 3rd: "he left me-I came out to Montezuma-came to Macon-remained Macon 4 
hours-then came to Forsithe at 9 oclock-then came to Mr. Laren's-stade all 
night-road very muddy".

The 4th: "came on to T.(Thomas)Cook's-very tired-lodged".

The 5th: "...it was raining & all-I came to W.(Willis?)Head's-ate dinner-came 
to Mr. Moor's-lodged at night".

The 6th: "came to B. G. Hooks-ate D.-came to Mr. A. J. A.s where I expected to 
board-me & him went to the store".

The 8th: "went to W. T. T.s-stade all day".

The 9th: 'commensed going to school".

The 14th: "at court(J. P. court)".

The 21st: "...this was the day of my meeting at Sardis-but did not feel well 
nuff(?)to go & it looked like it was going to be a blusty day-which it was-Mr. 1
(Ammons)was working a (coded passage)-I was with him".

The 22nd: "...in the evening went to B. G. H.s as there was no school tomorrow".

The 23rd: "went to J.(John?)Cook's-came by Mr. Moore's to Wm. Cap(es?)to T. J. 
Martin's [at school the 24th through 27th]
