June 17 to July 1, 1854

The 17th continued: "-as there was so much rain".

the 18th: "Came to W. H. T.s(Wade Hampton Turner's)heard from Uncle Jas.(?)
[he?] (came)-stade till 4 Ocl. in eve-came to the church of the servants 
meeting-[slave service]-C. C. W. preached-came home".

The 19th: "We have had a good season-cloudy".

The 24th: "went to Sharon to meeting-came to Mr. H.(Hilsman"s?)-ate diner-came 
to the store-came home-went to the P. this morning (&) this eve again".

The 28th: "we heard that(this?) morning the(that?) Memory C. Turner's child was 
to be berrid(?) today-the warmest wether I nearly ever saw".

The 29th: "We heard that M.(?)T. T. was thought to be dying-so I went to see 
him-he was ded befor I got there-I heard it at W. H. T.s-(I)went in all day & 
night-set up with just me and some girls till midnight when the candles burnt 
out-we had to go to W. B. A.s for some & there was me and May(?) Skinner-one 
had to go the other to stay-me & E. T. (Turner)his (d.?)-[daughter? -and]-E. S. 
Harper went-while we was gon C. D. H. (&) J. B. Renoles(?)came".

The 30th: "Just befor day I went to W. B. A.s for to get a wagon to go for the 
coffin-got it-came to Bersheba for it-went home got breakfast-the(n) back-stade 
till he was berried-came home-very warm-we went to the plantation-came home".

July 1st: "-at home-W. C. Greer came here-him & Mr. 1 went to plantation-I 
stade at the house-they came back-then me & Mr. 1 went to Mr. A.s(?) & gin 
house-to the store(home) home-T. H. B. with us-ate D.".
