July 1-24, 1854

The 1st continued: "(he?)left-we went to P. & river-came home".

The 2nd: "after school I went to Sarah Turner's-L. H. G. T. with me-(all?) 
night-Mrs.(?)G. wrote some letters-L. H. G. T. came home with me".

The 8th: "We went to the thresher-to J. H.s(Hooten's?)-came home-went to the 
store-all day with Mr. 1-rain plenty".

The 9th: "went to Jas. Nolin's-all day-came home".

The 11th: "at school- G. B. (&) S. B. came home with me".

The 13th: "at school-wrote a letter to D. L. C....".

The 14th: "received a letter from home".

The 15th: "went with Mr. 1 to ceth(?)some shoats in Old(?)Skinner field-came 
home-went to meeting with Mr. Hilsman-I then came back with W. Wyatt-ate Din.-
came to the store-by me coming with W.(Wyatt)-Mr. H. got wrath-[upset]-with me-
I hant(?)spoke to him sens(since?)-Mr. 1 at the store or came-we went home".

The 16th: "went to church-came(back?)-Sam Avry a deaf man came home with me".

The 18th: "at school W. da(?)M.(N.?)C. T. came here all night-went home".

The 22nd: "went(to) Mann's to court[Mann's store?-Worthville?]-came back to W.
(Willis?) Heads-ate diner-came to Mr. Moor's-found him sick-came home".

The 23rd: "we all went to Zion-[church]-I stoped at Dr. T.s-me A. J. Mc. (&) S. 
E. Mc. [McMullans?]came on-went in Threshers(Thrasher's?)mellon patch-M. J. O. 
A. J. Mc.

The 24th: "school came home-went to the P. with Mr. 1-(I am)sick with a hurting 
in my stomach-the judge(???)was gon to court".
