July 24 to August 24, 1854

July 24th continued: "we went hunting in mo. & eve".

The 28th: "received a letter from S. W. Turner cos.[cousin?]".

The 29th: "we went to McGraws(?)for some mellons-came back without them-as he 
was absent".

The 30th: "we all went to Island Shoals-good many p.(persons?)came(?)".

August 2nd: "W. B. A. came-all night".

The 3rd: "all day B.(Barton Ammons)stade".

The 4th: "received a letter from Pa".

The 6th: "went to camp meeting-Sardis".

The 8th: "went home with Wm. F. M. Wyatt".

The 11th: "at school-a good many per. here-Mr. 1 here-went home & went to 
Morgains mellon pa.(patch?)-[code]-today is the day for my Uncle to be hung but 
was not".

The 12th: "We went to P.-came back-went to court-came back & in the eve he told 
me all about his conversion which I was glad to hear".

The 13th: "at home-they went off to he(r) father's-[John Bryan's]-a good rain 
at 2 Ocl.".

The 14th: "at sch.-went to L. H. T.s all night".

The 19th: "I went to Mann's store to court-came back to Willis Heads-ate D.-he 
came to Mr. M.'s(Samuel Moore's)with me a little while-I came on to T. J. M.s a 
short time-came home-cloudy & mist of rain".

The 20th: "we went to Zion which[was]stated in last mo. wrong(?)".

The 22nd: "at school till eve-then he dismissed till next Wednesday"'

The 24th: "me & Mr. 1 went to T. F.(?)as he has got a store(?)-came(?)on our 
way back went in to said mellon patch of D. Z.(?)-in the eve went to pla.-the 
association is coming on soon".
