October 20 to November 3, 1854

The 20th continued: "..came without success-John Ward in befor but had not made 
a school".

The 21st: "Today [is] my meeting day-but did not go-not being well-rode out to 
Bersheba & to Gin H.(house)".

The 22nd: "at home-went with Mr. 1 to W. H. B.'s-came home-him and family soon 
came-all day".

The 25th: "G. B. (&) S. B. came home with me'.

The 26th: "at school-sent with A. J. Mcm.(McMullan?)by letter for some books to 
Augusta Ga-came hom".

The 27th: "received a letter from my father-all well-came home at noon and went 
with Mr. 1 to Dr. B.(Bryans)-came home-cloudy & misting of rain".

The 28th: "went fishing-came home-he went to T. T.s-[Tom Thrasher's?]-I went to 
Bersheba-came home-he stoped at J. B.s-I stade all night here".

The 29th: "rain-not yet returned-I went to S. O.(O'Dell's)-came back-continued 
to rain".

The 30th: "Went to school-gave S. O. same(?)- (? ? ? ?)-for to get a school at 
W.s(Ward's) Factory-or just got him to give them to some person (there?)- a 
hard rain-cleared off".

The 31st: "Went fishing-at school practiceing surveying-at night went hunting 
with Mr. 1 (?) & R. Alx.(Alexander?)-came home".

November 1st: "I went to Buntyn's-he cut me a coat-went to school".

The 2nd: "Went fishing-came back-went to sch.-at night went to W. H. B.s with 
S. Green Harper-came for his compall(?)-I went to the school house with him 
after them-went back to W. H. B.s all night-sent a let(ter)to J.(Joseph)T. 
Knowles".

The 3rd: "came to school-at noon went to Bu?-(Buntyn's)-me & A. J. McM.-came to 
acdy. dismissed(at) recess-came home-Mr. 1 here".
