November 4-14, 1854

The 4th: "pleasant morning-went to store(or Bersheba w(h)ich is the same thing)
in eve".


The 5th: "I went to meeting at T.s(Turner's)meeting house-went home with W. B. 
A. all the eve-Elizabet(h)T. was there-I came by S. T.s-(then)home".

The 6th: "went to school-school broke at 8 P.M. for the last day(ever?) I 
expect to go to Mr. Hilsman-he has been good to me the last two years-as good 
as a father-but (I) will have to leave his presents-but he leaves me able to 
stand a loan & c.-I went home-then to the store-then to gin with Mr. 1 & W. H. 
B. to load a wagon for to go to Griffin".

The 7th: "I went back with them-then came home first & went to town-came up 
with the(m?)-went on to town with them-came home".

The 8th: "I went to J. E. B.s(Buntyn's)-came back-went to River-came back then 
went to S. Shoals-came back".

The 9th: "went to store bot. P. nife-this blank Book-came home-in a short time 
they came home from Griffin-here all the eve".

The 10th: "About here untill noon-then we went to store-he went to gin-I came 
home-in a short time W. B. A. came with family for to go fis(hing?)to mo
(tomorrow?)- W. Wyatt came all night"

The 11th: "We all went-no fish did we cetch-came back ate dinner-all went to 
store-we came back-the(y?) went home-cloudy".

The 12th: "me & Mr. 1 went to meeting to Island Sh.-I. M.-[preached]-Text-11 C. 
24 V. of Hebrews-some rain-we came home all the eve".

The 13th: "very cold-we went to [code] some [code]..came home-in the eve we 
went to S. Shoals & T. W. S.(Sim's?)-came home-some ice(?)".

The 14th: "I went to J. E. B.s [to] see about a coat he was making for me-went 
to J. Skinner's"
