KNOWLES, 1852-1858 (page 60 of 137) November 14-22, 1854 The 14th continued: "on my way to Mr. Reeve's school-stade all the eve-came home-got my coat & c." The 15th: "went with Mr. 1 to P. & to W. H. B.s-came home-went to meeting to Turner's-W. T. T.s funeral was preached by S. S.-Text 21 C. 35 & 36 V. of Luke- I went to L. H. T.s ate dinner-me & C. D. H.(?)came on towards home-they went to W. B. A.s-he came home with Mr. 1-then went back for to go hunting-Mrs. 1 never came home". The 16th: "I was here by myself-after breakfast I wrote a letter to my father- to meet me on the 29th day of this inst.(instant)at Montezuma-went to the store- on my way to Widow Williamson's(?)sale-but when I got to the store I found I had the key of the house in my pocket-came back-then went on by L.(Larkin?)B. Mason's & to R.(Rueben?)Harper's-ate dinner-thence to the sale-my business was to make a school at Sardis-from thence to Wm. Wilsons-lodged". The 17th: "started from there-went back to the W.(widow?)W.s to Willis Heads-to D.(David)Madduxs-ate dinner-the by Wm.(?)Heads to R. J. Harper's-then to T. J. Ma. (Martin's)all night". The 18th: "Came to Wm. Stroud's by D. Lewis-then home-pleasant-went to meeting (Sharon)-no preaching-came home with Mr. 1 in buggy-cold windy-turning colder". The 19th: "Cold & cloudy-we went to Mt. B. to meeting-S. S. preached-Text 6 C. 11(?)V. of Hebrews-cold cloudy & windy-came home-I went to S. O.s-came back & F. M. Wyatt was here all night". The 20th: "With Mr. 1 untill noon-the(n) we went to G. Johnsons-came to the store-home". The 21st: "to Pl. then back-then by gin H. to J. Bryans(?)-home-to S. Shaols- came back".
