KNOWLES, 1852-1858 (page 61 of 137) November 22-28, 1854 The 22nd continued: "..store-I went to S. Turner's to look over some papers-in the eve went to W. B. A.s -all night". The 23rd: "Went with him fishing-came back-ate dinner-to S. T.s then home- nobody at home-went to the store-came back-at night wrote a letter for Mr. 1 to T. H.-his uncle". The 24th: "E. Fargason & Dow Oslin came here-Mr. 1 went with (them?)-I went to the store-came back-pleasant-ate din.-here till about 3 Oclock-went by the store to S. M.s (S. Moore's?)all night-paid him $50 dollars in money & 1 $10(?) dollar note-which (? ? ?)the (?)cts.-interest". The 25th: "After breakfast started to Sardis-to R. J. H.(Harper's)to L. B. M.s (Mason's)to church-no preaching-some rain-went to J. B. Orr's-ate din.-came to T. O. Ms.(Martin's)-he was very low-came home-I am not very well nor have been for some time-but am going about". The 26th: "Went to T. H. B.s all day(they[the Ammons]went to J. J. T.s(?- Turners-?)-came home in the eve-they had returned-I am studdying about going home". The 27th: "After breakfast I went to Jas. E. Buntyn's-came back prepared to go home-Mr. 1 promised to carry me to or a part of the way to the cars[train]-we started-we saw Mr. H. (Hilsman)at Clevelens(Cleveland?)shop-(I wrote this in Dooly Co. Ga.)-he(Hilsman)came with me to Mr. Nutt's-very cold & cloudy-like for snow-we stoped built a fire-ate a snack-we parted at 2 Ocl.-I came on to Griffin-went to J. Johnson's-ate sup. & 1/2 after 9-I left by the cars to Macon- 1/2 after 1 arrived at Macon-went to Floyed(?)house[hotel]". The 28th: "1/2 after 6 left for Montezuma-10 Ocl. arrived-started home-came on in a wagon till I met my father-but at Gum Creek met up with S. Murphy-he told me that Abner was..".
