KNOWLES, 1852-1858 (page 69 of 137) February 10 to March 3, 1855 The 10th continued: "..to court-so spent the eve-came home to W. H. B.s". The 11th: "Went to Mr. 1's-my intention was to go to J.(John?)Hails-but (spent) the day with Mr. 1 and Zackry(?)as he was at Mr. 1's-or came after me-plesant- From here when I go to school it will not be recorded without there is something (? ? ? ?)". The 14th: "30 schollars-came to the store-W. B. A. was there-(he) left his Pocket Book- me & Speir did not know what to do with it-but we counted the money & he kept it-there was 46 x 5-$230". The 17th: "came to Mr. 1's-me & him went to meeting-Sharon-White P.-Text-1 C. 2 V. of the Phil.-came home-E. F.*(Frances)Bryans was here at night-I stade all night as I had come today back to board at Mr. 1s". The 18th: "I went to meeting-White P.-Text 13 C. 15 V. Proverbs-Dr. B. came home with me & Mr. 1 went to W. H. B.'s then back with S. Baker-Ja.(?)- S.(?)- both of us went to Mc G.'s(McGraws?)-to Hartsfield Moors sa(sale?)-home". The 23rd: "Received 2 letters-1 from G. W. Welch (& one from) J. R. Leyons. (James R. Lyons?)-Jackson & Bond-me & Mr. 1 had a settlement-he gave me his note $12.96(?)". The 24th: "E. P. came-I pade him $20 for my horse-I borowed 5 from Mr. 1-we was at the plant(ation?)-came home-after noon went to T. Thresher's(Tom Thrasher's?)" The 25th: "Snow-at home all day-Mr. & Mrs. Bryans came as the B.(baby?)was sick- all this week very cold-I (am) unwell".) March 3rd: "to speir's-came back-went (to) D. A. J.'s with Mr. 1-came back-then to Pl.- came back-went to S.
