March 25 to April 15, 1855

The 25th: "Then all went to meeting-came back-all the eve-came home".

The 30th: "rec'd 1 letter from D. L. Coldmon-1 from Dr. M. H. Bryans-came home".

The 31st: "Mr. 1 & me went to Aunt Rose's-came back-stopt at the store-came 
home-went to Pa.-came back-at night went hunting-came..".

April 2nd: "At school-G. S.(Greenberry S.?)B.(Bryans)came home with me".

The 3rd: "At school in pain-in the eve came home-he left-[coded passage]-just 
nonsence".

The 7th: "Me & Mr. 1 went to T. H. B.'s to run some land-he came home-I came 
home at night-after going to Sharon to take some courses with J. B.".

The 8th: "went to see L. J. Smith-a student (that) was sick-came to W. H. B.'s-
ate din.-then home-he went with me-T. H. B. was there & J. B. came- (they?) 
stade all the eve".

The 11th: "At night there was to be a sale her(e) at the Acdy.-came by W. H. S.-
bot. of him 1 set of plotting insterments-went home about...".

The 12th: "At school-dismissed to work the road tomorrow".

The 13th: "Worked the road untill 11 Ocl.-in eve went to Bersheba-received a 
letter from H.(?) Upchurch-went to pl.-both together".

The 14th: "Went to church-came back-stopt at a sale at this place of the 
property of the sons(?)-went home-to pl.-came back-Messer's child at our house-
its mother sick at the Fa(ctory?)".

The 15th: "we all went to church-they went to J. B.'s-I went to W. H. T.'s with 
W. B. A. all eve-c. h.(came home?)".

The 16th: "after nocking round with Mr. 1.."
