April 26 to May 7, 1855

The 26th: "I. H. B., Dr. M. H. B. (&-?)C.(?)Leak(?)here at Mr. 1's".

The 28th: "me & Mr. 1 went to P.-came back-in eve went to store-cloudy & cool".

The 29th: "me & him went to Zion by W. H. B.'s-he went with us-Doyal P.-text 6 
ch. of John-very warm-in eve he lay down-I went to W. H. S.s".

The 30th: "at school-I expected to go to Cliffors(?)May party tomorrow-but in 
the eve-I left it to a vote of the school & was voted out of it-at night at a 
show at the Acdy.-a bare (bear)show-he could X, ¸, -, spell & read-Mr. 1 went 
with me-came home".

May 1st: "Loansom & pesterd-no(know) not w(h)at about".

The 3rd: "pleasant-Mr. & Mrs. 1 went to Zackry's(?)-in eve a thunder shower 
came up- some rain at night-we have not had any rain befor in four weeks and 
not a season for 8 weeks-dull times with me on the account(?)of the condision 
of Father's family-when I think of them-it nearly makes me blow my head & give 
up the ghost-two sisters, a nease, and him-he is old and not able to work".

The 4th: "cloudy and like for rain-in the eve had a fine season-J. B. was at 
the A. in the time of it".

The 5th: "pl. morning-(went)where Mr. 1 was seting potatoes-(I) went where they 
was plowing-then to P. -came back-Miss E. F. B. & 2 other girls there & I. B. 
B.-in eve came to store".

The 6th: "We was going to Countaline-but he went with Mrs. 1 to her father's-I 
went-very good meeting-by Island S. to J.(James?)Hunts to Mt. B. Al(Allen?)P.-
Text in 1st C. Amos (?)-home with- [code] -then home".

The 7th: "cloudy & thunder-came to school-a good deal of rain-came home".
