March 2-15, 1857

The 2nd continued: "..All the weak nearly sick with a bad cold-tolerable cool 
all the weak".

The 8th: "I went to Frank Miller's(as he is H. V. M(iller's) father)-to see 
Henry V. Miller-not a man on earth I like any better-we always have been great 
croneys-use to go to see him-Probaly will be seen in 1850-1-2 * -he now lives 
in Texas-here I will give a history of him as far(?) as I know-when I come 
along here again-I stade all night with him-we beded together-which I was glad 
to do".

The 9th: "I left-came to store-some rain- [small script: "he is going to Clark 
Co."].

The 10th: "I went for Dr. B. to William Underwood's-to Jas. Spears's-down the 
creek to L. McMikle's(McMicael's?) Pl.-came back by William Willson's to store
(at Worthville)".

The 13th: "Rain in eve-seat(?) very cold".

The 14th: "I left for to go to Sharon-went to Pl.-to Bersheba-thence to church-
I saw Mr. 1 there-Several wanted me to Teach School in the Turner settlemen(t)- 
1 1/2 miles from Sharon-I could not leave here without interrupting Dr. B.-I 
came to Bersheba again-Mr. 1 asked me to go home with him which I accordingly 
done-we came back to store-I intended to go to Wm. B. A.'s-but when we got to 
store him and wife came going to Mr. 1's-well nothing would do but I must go 
back-and stay all night-as he was going there after a while I concented-I 
cannot enjoy myself at Mr. 1' s as well as I would wish to do-but done 
tolerable well-all night".

The 15th: "after breakfast I left to go to go see Miss E. F. B-I went-she was 
sick with a bad cold and could not go to meeting-I stade sometime-went to 
meeting by self (communion day)- I then went to W. H. T.'s-Barton A.(Ammons)was 
there-we went to L. H. T.s to see about that school-came back to W. H. T.s-I 
went in to see a sick negro-I came on by Ber.(sheba) & Pl. to Dr. B.'s".
